I think him and Jason work together on the tabs and backing tracks. I know Mr. Tabs plays the songs because it he didn't he wouldn't be gifted guitars by other companies

Another fun one to play. At first I didn’t know what to think about the solo but it grew on me. Honestly it’s just nice to see Kirk letting it rip like in the 80s. I don’t think his goal was ever to be a player like Marty Friedman or Frank Gambale. It might not be a perfectly mapped out clinic in virtuosity but it’s fast and aggressive, like the rest of the song.

Even Kirk had way better thought-out solos in the past. His execution always left a lot to be desired but yes, they were fast, aggressive and in the past they also contained melodically comprehensible ideas. I have never listened to this song but just checked out the solo in this video - if that is what Metallica plays these days, I’ll pass.

I definitely prefer the stuff from Ride the Lightning and Justice but it’s nice to see something with a distorted electric guitar in it gain some traction these days.
