Blues For Alice Guitar Chords Lesson :
This video teaches you the comping for Blues For Alice. Comping is a jazz term and means the way the guitar chords and the rhythm is being played.
Blues For Alice is derived by a 12 bar Blues, but is changed quiet a bit. It's basically a major jazz blues.
Advanced Jazz Guitar Chords for Charlie Parker's Blues For Alice :
In my jazz guitar lesson video I show you 3 chorusses, packed full of sophisticated, advanced jazz guitar chords. The first chorus is supposed to underlay the melody, while chorusses number two and three are for comping the soloist.
You'll learn plenty of new jazz chords like quartal voicings, piano voicings, sophisticated altered chords and plenty of substitutions.
When you're finished with my lesson, you'll sound a lot more contemporary, modern and sophisticated.

Hello thx for the tuto! One question: the chord at the 39:14 shouldn’t be with a F# instead of F for the lead note? For A dorian? Is there a way to explain why the F should work? Thx

You are right. It's supposed to be an F#. And that's the way I wrote it actually. But I think the flow of the previous quartal voicings, that always included the f, made me automatically play that Dm11, instead of D11. It's a mistake. But it works, bc the ear has already got used to the f in the previous quartal Voicing, leading to that one. It works like outside playing. As long as there is a system behind it (like an arpeggio, that goes through different keys), it makes sense to the listener. So you can play it the correct way as a D11, with the F# as top note or like here as an Dm11 and keep the flow. It's up to you. Btw, you're the first one, who discovered that mistake. Congrats 👍
