Thanks Silvie for the comments you have been writing about my videos. I can't write in french because I am typing on a mobile phone. You are very kind with your comments and I don't deserve any of it. We all have been given gifts by the creator and I had the good fortune to come across a zither one day when living in Adelaide, South Australia. I taught myself thanks to a background of classical guitar and it has become a specialty. I like your positive advice of laughter and smiles and all the little pictures. Do you know about Sant Rajinder Singh and his teachings of meditation? You may like to have a look at sos.org. I have followed this spiritual path for 46 years and strongly recommend it. Much love from Melbourne Australia.

Your paying is absolutely wonderful. I love this type of zither so much that I went out and purchased one which is rather old and needs the strings replaced and now I am stuck because I have no one to tell me what kind of strings to get or how to put them on the zither. Could you possibly make a video that would cover the maintenance of a zither and a little more about how to playing it? Thank you. Again I love love your playing.

Beautiful. What do you think about turning a five chorded zither (each chord four strings) into a 10 chorded (or a six chorded into a twelve chorded) by placing pegs in about the middle of the strings and therefor cut one of the string so that you could have a major and a minor chord?
@janemikas88588 жыл бұрын
Thanks for playing this type of Zither. I had purchased this type a few months ago and it is from late 1800'sand it came with some music from that time.I don't know how to play it,but I would like to learn.I bought new strings but finding it difficult to tune so it will take some time. It seems as if my Zither is short of one string at 31 instead of 32 strings. Is there a set number of strings for this instrument?
@briangreemup74405 жыл бұрын
your Amazing playing that Zither and is it hard to play and do you teach people on how to ply the Zither because I'd like to learn even thou I don't have one I like it when you play those Melody on it
@guitarzither5 жыл бұрын
It's not hard to play but it is hard to keep in tune. I do teach but I live in australia (Melbourne). Please check my website on etiennedelavulx.com.au
@drwklam88811 жыл бұрын
This is a nice instrument. The strings looks new. Where could u find the strings?
@lxnvcts10 жыл бұрын
You could simply use guitar strings. Some of the strings in the video look like guitar strings, since the bronze wound doesn't end before the "nut"/upper bridge but goes into the tuning pegs. But one can cut off the bronze wound on the ends in order to have it uniform (that's what I did, but it is unnecessary and takes too much time).
