@newslaundry According to me Election coverage is a waste of time. it mainly serves to help politicians gauge their standing and understand public sentiment. Instead of focusing on elections, the media should conduct mid-term coverage to assess whether the government and politicians are fulfilling their promises. If promises remain unfulfilled, journalists could meet with people and ask questions about politicians promises are filled or not, if not then meet the politicians/minister and remind them of their commitments and ask why they haven't been met and do intellectual debate/discussion on these issues. Thank you.
