It is actually that easy to break a 20 year relationship, my parents are living proof of that. The way yn's dad laughed, it reminded me of mine. He was a narcissist. Best thing i did was went with my mom bcz my dad cut me off from my studies and friends, just kept me inside the house. Looking back, it was horrifying thinking my father could do any of that, but he did.
