Gul-e-Rana is a Pakistani drama serial based on a novel by Samra Bukhari titled Hasti Ke Ahang.

Those who are complaining about the ending have missed the hidden clue to the ending: 1. After hearing about Asher's death, Ra'na rushed looking for Adeel and fell in his arms. This meant that she considered him as her support in the face of adversity. In other words, she accepted him back in her life. 2. The poem about Jack and Jill also tells us that they reconciled. "Jack fell down, and broke his crown. And Jill came tumbling after". In other words, Ra'na (Jill) came after Adeel (Jack). Happy ending!

The poem actually means that when Adeel (Jack) got into an accident, Jill came to take care of him. The two did not reconcile although somewhere both of them did want to have each others support. As for Asher's death scene she really wanted to let her heart out and only Adeel was there. Secondly she wanted to get his permission to go to Karachi.

I thought and then got to know IT WAS ACTUALLY A HAPPY ENDING.... BUT IN A UNIQUE WAY! LISTEN TO THE POEM CLOSELY: Jack(adeel) and Jill(rana) went up the hill(murree) to fetch a pail of water..Jack fell down (ADEEL's accident) and broke his crown(Ego) and Jill(rana) came tumbling after(she let her pride go too) It was actually a happy ending but rather in a unique way... He didn't divorce her...In the last scene it was beautifully shown that She was crying in tears of happiness that adeel really has changed even though she has separated for some time but He really loves her truely now and thus he didn't force her... THE POEM TOLD IT ALL THAT SHE WILL GO BACK TO HIM... They didn't show much rana-adeel scene at the end as they already showed in the beginning of this episode and wanted something different.... WITH THIS POEM I definitely BELIEVE ITS A HAPPY ENDING of Adeel-Rana💕

To everyone who thinks this is not a happy ending: Think of it when roles are reversed. Take "Meray Paas Tum Ho" for example. In that drama, Mehwish changed too. She was extremely remorseful and repented too. But no one ever advocated that Danish should take Mehwish back(which is absolutelty correct in my opinion.) People wanted Danish to be with his son's teacher. But why the double standards here? We as a society tend to overlook and easily forgive even the grave mistakes of a man and severely chastise women for even the small ones. Infact, i believe that there could not be a more happier ending than getting out of a toxic and super abusive relationship. Abeel literally torchered her. And abusers don't really change, this behaviour keeps coming back if not dealt with proper therapy. We should stop romanticizing such toxic bullshit. I believe the ending goes perfectly well with the theme of the show.

The beauty of this drama is that it shows reality.. if u don't trust a person, time cannot change that .. v all thought that after the accident, Rana will fall in love with adeel n they would stay together.. but for Rana her respect and ego was more than anything which adeel didn't gave her.. later wen he started giving her respect, her heart didn't accept it.. this happens in real life..
