Unfortunately the ziplines are no longer there. The Wharf did add ziplines to their property though

I'm thinking tent camping, what about the mesquites, are they bad first week of September?
@bradgarlotte5 жыл бұрын
It's still pretty warm the first week of September so the mosquitoes will still be very prevalent. Mid to late October should provide better daily temps and the bugs should be at a minimum.

Excellent video! Thanks for posting. We're thinking of returning to Gulf State Park next year late summer or early fall and this gives us a really good view of improvements they've made to the walkways since we've been there.

Nice vid. Got a wedding to video in April, so it's nice to see it's drone friendly.

Do you know where the primitive camping spots are?
@bradgarlotte6 жыл бұрын
Primitive sites are on the main road and are set back in the woods a bit. It's very hard to see in the video.

Thanks for the great video. Is there a area of the campground you like best ?
@bradgarlotte7 жыл бұрын
bug512 We like all areas but the main road. All the sites are very long and offer ample amount of space.

Thanks, looks like a great park. Are the beaches dog friendly ?
@bradgarlotte7 жыл бұрын
bug512 Unfortunately the beaches in gulf shores and orange beach are not pet friendly. The Fort Morgan Peninsula is about 20 minutes away and offers less crowded beach areas that are dog friendly.

I did see that, I also see a couple of off leash dog parks. I wonder why the beaches are not friendly to dogs? Even in the summer season ours around here are till 10 AM and after 6 PM. Is there a put in spot for kayaks? Also, how many miles of hiking / cycling trails are there? Thanks for your replies.

bug512 The cities have an ordinance which prohibits pets on the beaches. The back country trail provides more than 15 miles of paved and non paved trails. There's plenty of stopping points for rest, including a bike repair station, small open air pavilion and restrooms with water fountain. The trails are pet friendly and also offer a pet water fountain at the above mentioned facilities. There are many places to go kayaking in the back waters off the coast but not any really kayak specific launch sites. I hope this info is helpful.
