Gear? There used to be a guy who shark fished Hatteras beaches with an actual fighting chair mounted in the back of a F-150 4x4. Saw him several times on Cape Point.

Nice setup but if I wanna catch sharks without paying 20 grand(exaggerated lol) what’s a good minimalist setup
@GulfCoastNation3 жыл бұрын
Hey! A good starter setup would be a spinning setup! Get a penn fierce 6000-8000 on a 9-12ft surf rod. Grab a few blacktip casting leaders from terrafirmatackle.com and a couple weights. Then spool it directly with 50 or 65 pound braid all the way to the top! Then catch fresh bait from the beach like lasyfish, bluefish, jack, whitening, ect. Chunk it up on to bait (half or quarter) then sling it back out there for bkacktips!
@otherearthgaming55883 жыл бұрын
@@GulfCoastNation thank you for the quick feedback! I do have a 10ft rod and a penn fierce. And friends with an ocean kayak haha. I will be fishing off the New Jersey shore, so I know I can catch blues for bait. I’m assuming this setup would be for relatively smaller sharks?
@evanpapp27123 жыл бұрын
I would just cast that rod. If you're looking for a reel to kayak baits with look into the Penn senators.

Pro setup fellas,👍 Can you give me the info. the for custom aluminum cart builder? Thanks again and keep up the great work🦈
@GulfCoastNation4 жыл бұрын
Hey! Our guy who did our cart is not doing them anymore unfortunately. Glad you enjoyed the video!
@SH-ez5gf4 жыл бұрын
That’s too bad, as your cart looks great and seems super functional as well. I tricked out my Fish-n-Mate but want one to fit a bigger bait cooler + my small food cooler, one which has 2axles/4 wheels, and a custom made-to-fit-carrier for my truck’s hitch. If you can get Terry or anyone else to make me one please let me know. In appreciation, I’ll send you guys some custom powder coated hooks to try. They don’t disappoint. 🦈😈
@GulfCoastNation4 жыл бұрын
@@SH-ez5gf sounds good! You can definitely get the fishing mate where you want it! I'm sure if you had an aluminum fab shop near you, they could get something together!
@SH-ez5gf4 жыл бұрын
I’ll keep looking into it, but the fab guys around here don’t build things to my standard lol. If you think of anyone that can engineer me a good one give me a shout back, as I’ll drive down your way or wherever to pick it up when it’s done. It needs to be top-shelf, with no corners cut. Thanks again fellas and keep crushing those monsters.
