I don’t understand why people are so hell bent on ACTORS not being able to date whoever they want. They are creating a drama, unfortunately people get so lost in those dramas they can’t see reel from real. If two actors have chemistry on screen and off that is wonderful for them. But if there is chemistry on screen and they are in relationships with other people, that is also great for them. Shipping can be fun and creative but it can also be harmful and hateful to all involved. If you cannot see your favorite characters as human beings with their own wants and needs, maybe you should step back and reevaluate yourself. My BL journey started with MewGulf. I was and am still a fan of both of them. I wish them both success in their careers and in their private lives. This Waanjai’s heart still has MewGulfitist and would still like to see them in another drama together because they seem to bring out the best in each other when they’re working together. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thai bl entertainment industry is very notorious for promoting the actors as couples, and even going as far as hosting events specifically for them to do fan service. Those actors never confirm to their audience that they're dating and surely never will, but they gain from pretending to be because that is most likely apart of their contracts and how they make their money. What you say is "gaslighting" could very well just be them doing their job or what's apart of their contract - providing fan service alongside of acting, in order to make more money and create a larger fanbase or brand for themselves. I'm 100% sure they wouldn't be doing all of that if they didn't have to. All in all, it's really just the industry profiting off of people who wants to believe in these ships.

My personal take only ...no offence Both benefitted from the ship and both wanted to do fake skinship for fame and money They would have continued to benefit from the ship even after going seperate ways if Mew hadn't said it was fake Gulf had 2 years to say all this but he chose to keep silent and benefit from the ship If Mew hadn't come out and said its fake and they haven't even interacted for 2 years would Gulf have eventually said they are no longer together or kept benefitting Now that fans know Gulf saying he was hurt ..boohoo The one who blew the whistle first was Mew and him being a veteran in the industry got much more hate Had Gulf blown the whistle first he would have faced much more hate, he just escaped Gulf being a newbie got hate but less Both are at fault

EXACTLY! thank you for speaking my thoughts. Gulf had every right within his own conscious body to call it quits. To announce to the world it was fake. All of it was fan service for money and fame that came from the contract and series. But since Mew too also have a boyfriend at that time (Now we know for sure is Tul, they just confirmed it) he chose to speak out on it. Which did some major major drawbacks from the toxic shipper fans. Gulf is not a saint at all. He had all that time to say something but he didn't. He chose to stay silent. You would think that him being straight and having a ex-gf would say something about it, would've been more vocal about it, but nope he chose to stay silent. Honestly it was very cowardly of him, but understandable since he was in fact a newbie. While Mew being so brave and the veteran of the industry had to come out and say it which cause him so so many hate. Gulf honestly was in a much much better situation since he was a "newbie" people were rooting for him and being less hateful to him while Mew was ransacked with hate. Honestly so unfair since it takes two to tango, it takes two people to do all of that and Mew got all of it. The hate, the death threats, the stalking, the negativity. Thank God that both of them went their separate ways. Mew is now happy with his boyfriend and Gulf doing whatever he is doing.

based on my understanding. 1st wound. first enter industry. few months tharntype season 1 .end of 2019 . breakup . reason TIME since both are busy. both starting the career. no time. gulf had to promote. his ex gf also older than him . active with her model job. mutual breakup and the other one is PROBABLY SOCIAL MEDIA since his ex gf got attack by toxic fans that cant see him with anyone. man or woman. even with his friend that time he cant play football without got blame . hence both feelings might start to fade from lover to friend. added the busy time schedule. note : his ex gf found new bf few months after the break up. rumor said bl actor too (not sure) gulf said during first interview if theres anyone to blame, it should be himself for all these happened ( no blame anyone, just himself) last year after mew said fanservice replying to fans tweet, media ask gulf at his solo event. he said ready to accept the consequences since he did his part. and at the end of this interview he said he need to consider everyone's feelings. the fans feelings, ex gf feelings for being attacked, his own feelings and his family feelings. since he is newbie at that time 2019, breadwinner of family, had to consider everything , hopefully he learn something . wound still wound. i did appreciate he shared this . all i see he blame himself for the failed in handling situation all match with the timeline. thank you

I just don’t understand why this interview caused such an uproar. Gulf was asked a question and he answered it honestly, from his perspective as a newbie in the entertainment field, taking on a main role in a hotly anticipated series. He really had no idea what to expect and the intense limelight had to be terribly bright at times. It’s no surprise that the relationship was felled by fame and the ugliness that they experienced, especially by Poom…in social media, but it’s a shame that it happened so publicly. People have said he should have done more to protect her on sm. Maybe so, but how much would that have fueled the fire? Perhaps it was naive for him to lay low in the hope that it would die down, but why was it anyone else’s business in the first place? The break-up of a relationship is PERSONAL and should never have been used as fodder for judgement by people who were not involved. No one other than the two of them and those closest to them needed to know the specifics…no one. Shame on those who spewed hate on Gulf, Poom and on Mew, whose support of Gulf was treated as opportunistic at the time. This was a matter between two people then and the hurt and responsibility he feels belongs to him now, not to those who would seek to use it against him. Because it doesn't go with shipping so fans don't sub those interviews, fans didn't hyped that interview but Gulf hugging Mew got so hyped . International fans don't see the full side of industry. Agree with most of what you have said. However, Gulf is not blaming fans at all. Even the caption reads ‘I failed as a middleman’. Do you all actually listen to what is being said or just hear what you want to hear? Gulf was wrong for going along with the fanservice but that was his first experience in the industry. Still, he has never defended his actions at all. Also you’re being a bit unfair with the ‘fame ladder’ thing. Mewgulf was one of the first ships to get this level of popularity. There was no guarantee that it would work as there weren’t that many examples before them. That’s the reason why it got too out of hand. But don’t blame Gulf for things he has not done. At no point of time has he blamed fans.

The whole problem lies with the fact that thai bl industry has kept itself different. They don't function normally. Romantic series have been made ever since. Have ppl went on to ship some girl n boy to that extent? I have not seen many cases like that. It's because they work normally as actors and move on. There is no such thing as extra promotion, fan meet or events with cpls hence no shipping. Thai industry doesn't stand anywhere on the international level. It's only bls that made it famous out side Thailand. The industry originated the idea of Fan Service. When an actor does a bl...he is made to circulate around the same series and with the same co actor for years. They do so many events , Fan meets , going n surprising each other on birthdays..social media interaction, flirting, etc etc. n they do this for years. Not only that they are hardly made to keep jumping from one project to another be it bl or straight. Hence what are they offering public? A habit , an addiction and a narrative Habit of seeing only those two ppl together Addiction of seeing them together all the time to a level that u start expecting them to be present at each other's events all the time. Birthday n all Narrative that they can be a real life cpl. They show that they r very loving, they r jelous , they flirt, they get intimate, shy, blush Basically they do all this n that too not as the character they have played but as who they r in real life ..eg not as tharn type but as Mew Gulf And hence that narrative gets accepted by the ppl. In this situation blaming fans completely for your broken relationship is not fair because you didn't knew where to draw a line. Girlfriend needs security from his bf n then she can face any non sense with confidence. Yes fans who attack the gf are stupid toxic creature. I guess Mew & Gulf got so hyped up coz they were the Firsts in BL industry who got so famous.. i dont think that there r real romantic feels among bl couples but fans they just want them to be together.. my heart also skips a beat when i see my fav couples acting lovey-dovey but it ends with that video/series/shot, i dont keep thinking & wishing them to be together.. I'm from India n i like many of the Bollywood on-screen couples, it doesnt mean they should be together.. As BL industry was new its understandable actors did fanservicing to attract fans but now its high time fan-servicing is stopped for the peace & happiness of BL actors & also crazy fans.. Thing is there is now some type of virtue signalling going on in bl fandoms from the artists and some fans. "Support the artists even if the ship breaks or the artist dates someone else" I mean who are y'all to tell fans what to do? Fans cannot abuse Artists. That's fine. However, the whole time of their on-screen romance Gulf had a girlfriend (which he has the right to do) and gets applauded for his courage. What I've observed from last few years that most of the bl fans fail to understand that the production house or the company make these actors act like this even after the series ends just so they can get the money from numerous concerts, fan meetings and all. Just imagine would the large number of fans go to those concerts if there was no chemistry between the actors?? The answer is no. I know some actors overdo the fan service and later can't control it but I'd blame the companies or the production houses the most for controlling the actors' lives in one or more ways. So guys next time y'all watch a bl series, ship the characters and not the real people. It's for your own good.

I think Gulf had no problem with going along with the Fans that he and Mew were in a relationship for the fame, money and publicity, so I think everything Gulf is saying is an excuse putting it on fans shipping them. Acting in a role is one thing but using that very role as a stepping stone to what they both wanted, is on them. He also says the shipping didnt allow him to be with any other male or female. That is what he and mew caused for their personal gain. Also be honest is he straight or bi, while he says he was wounded. Also I noticed Mew left Gulf high and dry after Mew used the fans and Gulf for fame and the money using the Y-Series to do that for his acting career. I don't see where they are the Victims here. I was a Mew fan but it might sound like I still am. I don't hate Mew nor Gulf but for once there is someone who also puts a blame on Gulf. Both benefitted from each other and the fans. Gulf wanted to do lakorn and Mew wanted to pursue further with his career by being Gulf's acting partner but it didn't work. Both Mew and Gulf took advantage of the fans to gain money and fame but at least Mew admits that it was all fake before it was too late because every fan of MewGulf were going insane about their ship. This experience helped me not ship actors outside of their series because most of it is fake. Thai bl actors are trying to make money, but in the process, they are taking advantage of weak hearts.

The reason why he gets less ‘blame’ is because he has empathy for the fans & genuinely understands how all this has affected them. He said he’s ready to face the consequences of his actions & has never tried to justify himself. He has never tried to blame the fans or gaslight them into thinking that it’s all their fault. Also, he was much younger & new to the industry when they worked together while Mew had experience with 2 previous BL ships that ended badly. Holding them at the same level of accountability is a bit unfair. But either way, Gulf gets enough obsessive hate from Mew fans & has been getting since Feb 2020. That too when he has never said a single bad word against anyone. So saying that he doesn’t get ‘blamed’ is wrong especially when he gets way more hate than he deserves.

Have you watched the complete interview? He’s not trying to play victim at all. He only shared his feelings because it’s the kind of interview where you’re supposed to ‘share’ & he has done it in a very neutral way. It’s some fans who just jump to conclusions & don’t have enough emotional depth to understand what he’s saying. I was trying to watch the full interview but they still dont have eng sub… (shady) So somehow here I am. It’s a bit old but I had a hard time trying to understand what people was getting from that interview. Since the hate he received after that was too much. And reading comments here I still can’t understand.. The only one he’s blaming here is himself, he clearly said that the wounds is caused by him « Being a middleman who caused things to get worst is kind of leaving a scar in my heart. So this is quite an important lesson for me » As a middleman he had to take care about everyone’s feeling, his girlfriend, his fans, his family, and probably feels like he could have managed it better. So where is the « blaming the fans » is coming from? Is he not even allowed to feel pain or regrets about that past heartbreak? He never blame fans for their feelings regarding the imaginary cp and have always take responsability for the fan service he did. He never decieved fans and always named it as it is, imaginary cp, work, fan service. Have been saying it many time, in many interviews, since the begining of his carrer in the Y serie. He always said that he understand fans feelings, their beliefs, as it’s only the result of his work. In fact he never express any bad feelings about it, and only have shown respect, gratitude and love to MG fans. Now what I will never understand is bl fans justifying toxic fans behaviour in the name of fan service. Those actors are only selling fans imaginary cp and that is what people as fans are buying. It’s their work and it’s only for entertainment purpose. They don’t owe fans anything else regarding their private life. If you can’t differentiate fiction from reality and crossing the line, it’s a YOU problem. Fan service is not an open door for fans to harass and insult those actors and their close people when they don’t meet your expectations. And that’s only my pov, he is even too considerante to even thinks like that despite all the toxicity he has been facing on a daily basis.

If yours fans aren't happy for you in your relationships then they aren't real fans!!! I am not saying Gulf is innocent, because yes he played into. He was also a newbie though and it was his first job so he probably felt at least a little pressured if he wanted to keep working. Shipping culture is so dangerous and unhinged!!! I'd like to speak my two cents on this. Gulf had every right within his own conscious body to call it quits. To announce to the world it was fake. All of it was fan service for money and fame that came from the contract and series. But since Mew too also have a boyfriend at that time (Now we know for sure is Tul, they just confirmed it) he chose to speak out on it. Which did some major major drawbacks from the toxic shipper fans. Gulf is not a saint at all. He had all that time to say something but he didn't. He chose to stay silent. You would think that him being straight and having a ex-gf would say something about it, would've been more vocal about it, but nope he chose to stay silent. Honestly it was very cowardly of him, but understandable since he was in fact a newbie. While Mew being so brave and the veteran of the industry had to come out and say it which cause him so so many hate. Gulf honestly was in a much much better situation since he was a "newbie" people were rooting for him and being less hateful to him while Mew was ransacked with hate. Honestly so unfair since it takes two to tango, it takes two people to do all of that and Mew got all of it. The hate, the death threats, the stalking, the negativity. Thank God that both of them went their separate ways. Mew is now happy with his boyfriend and Gulf doing whatever he is doing.

You don’t know the exact timeline of his relationship & even in this interview he says he had a gf ‘at the beginning’ of his career. Things often ‘end’ before the official breakup. It does seem like you’re purposefully misunderstanding things that is why I said that. Nothing in this interview implies that he’s ‘looking down on his fans’. He’s literally just sharing his experience from 5 yrs back & saying he failed as a middleman. He knows he was wrong for going along with the OTT fanservice. He’s not asking for people to sympathise with him or even calling fans wrong. There’s a whole lot of nuance that people are missing because they have a preconceived notion about ships, shippers & this situation in particular. He’s basically saying how HE wasn’t able to manage things properly. Some people are just going by their preconceptions. Let's be realistic, its not easy to earn big bucks in Thailand if you come from a humble background. There are only 2 legitimate ways to achieve that: entertainment (aka BL) or s*x trade. He debuted during covid, which meant it was worse. He had to choose between romance/loyalty versus financial survival. I could tell his anguish when he completed his media interview as M hugged him. He looked stunned and stoned. I am sure he had an emotional struggle with his choice. He was afraid to be termed as a heartbreaker. As for Ms P, her choice of career, the pics of herself on IG don't help the situation then (though she has refrained much ever since). I doubt any Asian in-laws are ok with that choice. For those who said he is blaming the fans for his romance demise, I don't see that being presented starkly from his statements, at least there were no clear accusations of lack of education, mental problems, wild imagination, etc. Nevertheless, only time can tell. Who knows, maybe if those variables that killed his relationship are removed, he may revive it. Let's wait and see.
