Gulfstream G600 N600G Take-Off

The Gulfstream G600 is seen taking-off at Bern in Switzerland for a short hop to Zurich. N600G (ex N750GD) is one of the first G600 with construction number 73005, built in 2017. It now carries the same registration N600G as the prototype before. The impressive business jet is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW800 is a turbofan engine generating 15,680 lbs thrust each.

…another blast from Matt… …maybe it’s just me, but every model of plane has a particular “look”… and, seeing as Gulfstream has been producing fine quality civil and corporate aircraft for nearly a century, it should be expected that each producer would have a “signature look”… …while the noses of some are carefully smoothed (for aerodynamic reasons, principally.. .), this Gulfstream’s nose is very angular and assertive… … and, bear with me tech guys, but the placement, pitch and angulation of the cockpit windows AND those in the passenger cabin add that finishing touch… …hence, while this Gulfstream may not be the fastest,or capable of extreme distance….what it WILL do, in spades, is to make you appear to be a “far bigger shot” than you really are as you gracefully descend the stairs…oh,yes… …as Billy Crystal’s SNL character, Aldo Cella would say…”…it is MUCH more important to LOOK good than to FEEL good”….so true, Aldo… …thanks, Matt…more please…

Wow. The PW800 also makes a similar howl that the GTF engine makes. Probably because it was made off of that engine.

Matt my good friend, another great video/catch on a beautiful jet registered in my country/U.S.A, very nice spool up, takeoff roll, and rotation/climb on a beautiful day and I have to say it, I really like the wing span on Gulfsreams. You have been catching many great liveries although not unusual for you, but especially in that color of "mid Navy blue/Kentucky blue", the swirl on the cabin and rudder would be called "light battle ship grey".
