After watching your second video I take it you've made your dream come true flying the Gulfstream, an awesome aircraft. Just seen you leaving LBF for APF, what's it like being back in the 414 again? Hopefully you'll be able to have some fascinating videos coming out.

Does that “heels off the floor” check have something to do with nose wheel steering and the GIV crash a few years ago in France??

That's exactly why it's there. It was determined that a tremendous amount of differential braking would be the only possible way to adequately counter an uncommanded steering input that resulted in the nosewheel touching down uncentered. So the airplane is now landed with your toes on the brakes, in the unlikely event it were to occur.

@@eglide73 They’ve fixed the root problem with the steering actuator. It only happened twice in the last 35 years, but the actuators have been modified and the procedures updated.

I follow a few aviation channels, and I know you think the 414A is an awesome aircraft, and it is. However Barron pilot has been asking what should upgrade his Barron to, he his asking for suggestions. If it could be worked out with your busy schedules it would be awesome if you were able to introduce him to the 414A and it would make a brilliant video of two people who love aviation.

I've reached out to Baron Pilot a few times in the past, most recently to invite him to come fly the 414 with me when I was down in Florida to check out the new Garmin GFC600 autopilot. He's never responded to me.

VREF speeds are about ~ 128 to 142 knots, depending on weight and altitude.
