@@Naruto99643 sorry but that's just the movie's creative interpretation where the hero's character meets his father (while both are in kola alankara. Rishab told he too creative liberty there). In real life that's not how kola ends. God doesn't call the performer near him and they don't disappear. God actually possess the performer. During kola the performer is possessed by daiva and based on the arrangements either it is performed whole night or 3 hours or 1 hour. If performed whole night then entire story of the daiva is depicted in the kola + it wears the big ani (the big green structure made of coconut leaves) and during that time people ask questions and seek answers, then ani is removed and kola continues, then daiva takes its food (prasadam, milk, tender coconut and a rooster/chicken if it is meat consuming). And then kola ends with a last dance which is less intense. All daiva kola follow this basic structure. The aggression during kola is based on the nature of Daiva. Usually daiva with yellow face are calm while with black and red face is aggressive. Guliga is one such aggressive daiva and during his kola he tends to run out of the ritual premises. It is believed that once he runs out he becomes uncontrollable. And so people are trying to stop. In other daiva kola nobody stops daiva from going around because they don't tend to run outside the premises. Even if they do, it's a rare incident. Guliga is different and has too much anger and he doesn't control himself until he gets food. Guliga calms down only after he is given food. After that he will not run around. Instead, the questions and blessings will take place.

I request everybody to visit kamakhya temple in Guwahati nilachal hills during sawan and bhado month when DEODHANI FESTIVAL is held. Even there the priest or the one performing the ritual is said to get possessed by maa kamakhya for some time while he performs the nritya. The serpent goddess is worshipped. It is unique .

daiva is trying to escape but if it manages to escape and climb the tree it will disappear and if jumps into well it will become stone(the body). So the near by ppl are stoping from these things because it will bring the badluck to the ppl and places nearby. Mangalore to udupi highway near Surathkl one guliga daiva manage to climb tree and disappeared even now there is some weird sound comes from that tree.

Daivas also plays an important role in the administration and judiciary system of Tulu Nadu. Dravidians worship their ancestors. It is believed that there is more than 1000+ Daivas in Tulu Nadu. But only few are more popular and worshipped in all parts of Tulu Nadu. while other spirits are worshipped by certain individual family or in certain region only in a modest way. Each daivas has its own story and Reason for worshipping.
