When he came out eating the ground, thats the first time i thought 'yeah, thats some yonko shit', gigantes and kaminari were cool but we've seen him make parts of his body grow and we know he can touch lightning from Enel, plus he was fighting an equal. That was some final boss fuel right there.

There are certain privileges to being a long running series or franchise. 27 years in, 7:52 is one such privilege. 18 real world years after Rob Lucci and Monkey D. Luffy clashed, we get to see that Lucci remembers his defeat *all* too well. You can't really do that with a miniseries. Even movies it's rare, the MCU did it in a decade. This is eight hundred (792 to be precise) episodes later. We remember too and it has that much more impact.

Why do you even say that? I mean it is not like it is subtle and needs to be pointed out. It is even zoomed in on the punch and the shockwave is shown from like 3 angles. So yeah I think everyone with two functioning eyeballs "noticed" that. Also it is pretty much the same as during the fight against Kaido where Luffy punched through Kaidos head which also streched in a similar fashion.
