What's even funnier is what we gonna know about Nicole's past in later seasons. Despite all her anger issues and all the things Granny Jojo says, Nicole is damn good mother and knows the line what her children want and what they need. But yeah, Gumball definitely inherited the most out of Nicole, god, it's such a missed opportunity we will never get actual Gumball:Next Generation or something like that to see Gumball as a parent

Now here’s where I can pitch in! Hector is most likely a magical experiment that his mom grew really fond of, I don’t think he’s her biological son. Either that or his dad is a giant. 10:15 “Motherfucker that looks down on everyone and shit.” Chance, you PERFECTLY predicted Tobias’ character for the whole show, and it’s only the start of season 2. 15:04 “I’m sure they borrow from each other.” In Gumball’s case, I’d doubt that. This show wasn’t made in America, but Europe.

Season 2 is where the show starts to peak. Season 1 is great, but seasons 2-4 are where the show starts to establish itself. The animation is better, the lighting is gorgeous(especially in this season) and the jokes are even better than regular show

Until I saw that episode in which Gumball gets jealous at Leslie for hanging out with Penny, I always thought that Leslie was a girl..

An now the pure art begins. The art and animation became so much more smooth, plus main character eyes shape change was great decision. I hope you'll have a blast with it Honestly I don't understand why Gumball would even care about Hector liking his picture, it's not like Gumball is the type to seek popularity. Though, I wouldn't mind to read that comic line they have in their world. I don't know why, but "Knights" feel so iconic to me, maybe not as show growth sign, but just the perfect example what kind of show Gumball is. Tobias works absolutely great here as typical "villian in love story". And here you're starting with long and hilarious heated relationship between Gumball and Patrick Fitzgerald. It's also great there's no conflict between Gumball and Penny, just two late pre-teens trying to study and spend time together as close friends. I can't remember right now, but I wish we got more Gumball/Nicole centric episodes. Their duo just works the best in my opinion to make the sharpest and most clever jokes. I absolutely love the episode's message that you shouldn't force your kid be exactly like you or be perfect in everything and be supportive of his own achievements as well as loses instead of controlling his life. Honestly, the jealousy episode could've been more interesting if they spend more time trying to contain the spirit. Like what if it possessed somebody and tried to escape Carrie's house. That way they could've referenced not only The Exorcist, but The Thing too

The thing that you can notice with season 2 vs season 1 is that they tend to do more of their own things instead of popular TV tropes. Like in season one you had an episode where kids messed something up and had to cover it, or they had the wrong game and had to get a refund, so they just went to the store to the store with a normal guy working there, asking for a refund. This is something that I feel could fit in every cartoon that has hyperactive kids as main characters. While season 2 in comparison has an episode about a GIANT living with a WITCH mother, or a jealousy possessing someone. Hence why we have much cooler and more creative scenes like a normally friendly giant trashing a town, a broomstick ride through the skies, an exorcism scene, etc.
