Great stuff! I once hired a plumber in DC named Clokey,; I asked if he was related and he was actually related to Art Clokey, Gumby creator. Showed me a home photo album when he finished up. Very cool.

I lot of this stock music was heard in the early Hanna-Barbera cartoons like Yogi Bear and Huckleberry Hound. It was also used on shows like Dennis The Menace, Father Knows Best and The Donna Reed Show, to name a few.

The music at 7:16 - 7:33 is also a prototype of what would become the "Dennis the Menace" theme, and got used in the 1958 Road Runner cartoon "Hook, Line and Stinker".

And speaking of “Dennis The Menace,” the music was also used for “The End” title card at the end of the Gumby cartoon “Robot Rumpus.”

@@ginajrivera2439 That's right. Another thing I noticed was how the Clokeys were a lot more versatile with the Capitol Hi-Q stock music library than Hanna-Barbera was. This is why the track starting at 6:59 was heard in a lot of "Huckleberry Hound Show" shorts but only in a couple of "Gumby" episodes.

I'm eleven and when I lived with my dad I used to watch all these shows so far I've reverted back to, frady cat, betty boop,old tom and Jerry comin round the mountain old cartoon, Popeye the sailor man,and now Gumby. This is where the Dennis the Menace sto ck music first appeared (also used in the Roadrunner cartoon "Hook,Line and Stinker" among other cues, an d five opther shorts due to a 1958 music strike). Kind of like how Casper (who Gumby is very much characterised as) and Little Audrey cues wound up on Tennesse Tuxedo (Gumby:Seely-Loose, Casper:Win Sharples Sr)

In the 1956 season, none of the voices were done by professional voice actors. Ruth Eggleston and Art Clokey did the majority of them. But it does have a certain charm (especially Ruth Eggleston's Gumby voice). Beginning in 1957, they hired Dallas McKennon (a professional voice actor) to start voicing Gumby and other characters.

​@@josephmenjivar770 That's because in the early 60's, they were making new Gumby episodes that were 5 minutes in length, and when they reran the 60's episodes, they were cut in half, and some were given new bridging animations, new animated title cards, and in some cases, new voice acting/narration. The 50's episodes were shown like this for years, until 2005, 2006, and 2013, when new restorations of the 50's and 60's Gumby episodes were made from the original camera negatives, and the 50's episodes were restored to their original 10 minute lengths.

0:14-0:28: The music that was being played on the phonograph was actually the same music that was played on the "Mister Ed" season four finale titled "Moko," in which the "guest star" was Moko The Mischievous Martian, voiced by Dave Willock (Uncredited). In that episode, Moko in sprite form, shows up first when this same music plays when he shows up to go inside one ear of Wilbur Post's neighbor, Gordon Kirkwood (Leon Ames), whose mood changes thanks to Moko and who was also Wilbur's Air Force Colonel, and out the other. The music also plays when Moko returns to his home temporarily only to wreak more havoc later on right up to the Colonel's party. Two other facts about the episode: One, Moko's friend, Toddy, was voiced by Richard Deacon (Uncredited); and two, Mister Ed, was not the focus of the episode.
