The statement by the so-called on-site staff member doesn’t make sense. If Jennie did in fact apologize profusely to staff when the incident took place (and again after the show), then she knew that it could be criticized by fans. If I were in her position, I would have explicitly told the video editor to make sure edit out the vaping part, and then I would double check the video myself. This vaping incident isn’t going to make a dent in her career. But that collab with Edison Chen is troubling.

The reason is first, the 'so- called fans' , they start to dislike her because before she always shows the good side on her but now she's free, we got to see both the bad and the good, those who says they like her because they saw as just the cute and sweet Jennie and they just want to see that side of her, but like the most of us she also makes mistakes and make choices that bad in the eyes of many, they get disappointed because they think she's not anymore the Jennie they used to like or love. Second is the casual who doesn't know her and is quick to judge based on what they see in the internet. Third is the haters, they hate her even more because despite of all those scandals and no matter how hard they tried to ruin her she's still up there, slaying. But those who truly loves Jennie will stay, accept her flaws, acknowledge her mistakes and still celebrates her victory. 💗

Absolutely, you are my person. True fans are those, who not only love the “perfect” Jennie, but also her imperfections. And fake ones leave her and start hating immediately after she shows her other side…..sad. This actually reminds me of Sasha Sloan’s song ‘Version of me’. Lyrics goes like: “Can you love the version of me, I don’t let anybody else see? When I choke would you try and help me breathe?” I can love that version of Jennie. I love and support Jennie, period. Jennie has had this hateful set of trolls from debut, who can't stand her being more successful, prettier, more popular, etc than their favorite Kpop Idol. As an ex smoker I hate when there are areas indoors where is allowed to smoke (if true that area was allowing smoke) cus those areas ended always making everything smelling, it's like a loophole made by smokers that own a place and dismiss the reasons behind the laws. And about Jennie and the collabs, well she's probably leaving aside morals in order to gain business opportunities. The pressure for success in all BP members as solo artists/business owners is enormous so I understand why but in any way can be accepted, from all the controversies that one is just clearly wrong on her and for her, no even as a business makes sense cus it affects her own brand which is her name as an artist and a person.

I’m definitely not a fan of Jennie and never have been. Vaping is definitely different than smoking a cigarette indoors with people around. It’s not nearly as bad. If she asked first and no one said anything then that’s fine she opened a window too. Netizens are so quick to Judge and try to take a celebrity down.
