Marck dearest am touched by your response, so eager to help anyone who has a problem unlike other different channels no amount of pleading helps, they just never respond to your queries but here you are truly a gem. Sorry I missed seeing your message as I had a little problem with the internet and now it is too late because only this morning I had to throw away the flowers and the little kitties I made out of that gum paste of which I had a problem. As mentioned the gumpaste was stretching just like you showed but I was not able to form it into a smooth dough and hence cracks showed and I was tired at the end of what I was trying to do. The kitties looked cute I have a picture on my whatsapp but pictures are deceptive one can never see the real picture. Another thing I noticed Marck was it is not raining and it is hot, I dried the figures and flowers under a light as I was taught at a class, but I noticed after two days of not putting them under the light they started softening and then back under the light which hardened and back to softening, I was totally depressed as I made them for a cake from my grandchildren for their grandpa. This morning I was forced to throw them out as the flowers turned soft and the frilly dress on the kitty also turned soft, I had no choice Marck but to get rid of them. What could be the problem I have no idea because everything you showed I did the same way and it turned out the same way too. Please please advise me, thank you thank you,

hey chef Marc! thank you for sharing your recipe! i tried the gumpaste recipe but i found it too hard to roll. at first i used only 6gr of CMC (no tylose here), but it was too soft to make frills for flowers, i tried 9gr still too soft, finally i used the full amount 12gr, knead it until combined and stretches very well but this time it is too hard to roll. i use double boiler to mix the glucose-water-oil until mixed well and let it warm to touch before adding to the sugar-cmc mix. mind to tell what to change in the recipe so the gumpaste is soft enough but can still be use to make frills? i watched all your videos and your gumpaste looks very soft but they can be frilled beautifully! btw i am from indonesia! thank you for uploading such well-made beautiful flower tutorials! hope you can help me 😊
@marckevinstyle6704 жыл бұрын
hi if its too hard you can add veg shortening so and knead well, you can also microwave it for 3-5 sec only on medium high and knead with shortening and put on covred container airtight while working so it wont get hard that fast , =)
