リアルタイムでGUN DOGを聴いてた時、日本でも海外の「ニューメタル・ラウドロック」系が輸入され、影響を受けたバンドが少しずつ出て来ましたが ここまでクオリティの高い楽曲とビジュアルが整ったバンドは他にいなかった記憶が。 (決して他のバンドが悪いとかそういう話では無いです そして、やっぱりKの様に迫力感があるシャウト、しっかりとサビでは唄えたり なおかつ流暢な英語の発音が出来る人材というのは凄く異質だったと思います。 そして、晩年のP.T.Pでは歌詞に出てくる様に自身が抱えてる影の面・弱く繊細な面も出していて聴く人の心に寄り添う一助的な部分を持っていたりと、僕の目に写る限りのKは非常に魅力的な存在でした。 Kさんの世界観に刺激を受けて成長をする事が出来たので心の恩人です。 ありがとうございました。

Bands like GUN DOG, Drugstore Cowboy, and Maximum the Hormone are so iconic because they hit the scene at the height of Visual Kei's popularity. They answered the demand for more grounded lyrics and visuals. They brought out an energy that was sleeping in Japan but awake elsewhere.
