As an Arex Zero 2 owner for 4k rounds I sympathize with Calvin's experience. The recoil spring is now dead, but even when it wasn't, the reliability was not super impressive. And I am not even gonna talk about the Zero 2 that my friend bought...

Arex Zero 1T owner here, it have 3700 rounds with zero gun issue (only problem it had was bad primer on few rounds, second strike solve that). I change trigger for flat PT trigger, otherwise its stock. And it runs great. Maybe Arex change recoil spring in Zero 2?

@@bangbang44500 My 3 Jakls have been flawless. And the cool part is I can go get parts straight from PSA and/or utilize the lifetime warranty. Don't get me wrong, I love CZ firearms, but trying to get parts and/or support in the US is...not always easy. Maybe CZ will change that if/when they bring the gen 3 Bren stateside.

The Arex Zero 2. All I have to ask is. Why were the upgrades even necessary at all? Lighter recoil spring for what? When putting on the extensions, stretch out the oem springs a bit. Never had any issues with extensions from Arex, CZ, Beretta, Sig, or Walther.

Those are made for military not specifically competion shooting. Military usually chooses more robust design over half kilo weight save. So would i.

@@PolenarTactical the bren 2ms rifle has a heavy barrel, the pistol versions have the military barrel. My 14.5 pistol even has the bayonet lug still on it and if the cz bayonet wasn't over $300 I'd have one lol 🤣 if I could source a spare lug I'd grind it down to take a US military bayonet... they're very close to fitting as is

The Bren is a great rifle... But with handguns its too easy... Literally just pick out of S&W M&P, Glock, CZ, or Walther PDP and you won't have issues... Its quite simple lol
