While Im not a fan of RV parking lot type parks, there is a good thing about Lums Ponds: solar capture is much easier. You might not need it in and electric spot, but if you choose a non-e site, you can usually save a bit of cash in an ever more expensive USA.
@AmpedtoGlamp2 жыл бұрын
Good point! I didn't think about solar. Thanks!

Thank you for introducing another state park. 3 weeks ago we camped at Bull Run Regional Park in Virginia and they have a shooting range. So, we heard all day gun shot. Hahaha!

Most people came here to visit DC. Otherwise 2 days stay is good enough. Don't have to many trails. We live in Herndon and 15 miles from our home and my older son wanted to short trip that's why we went.

Hey Chuck and Cherie 👋. Ohio has some of the best state parks and now there is alcohol to go? We really need to make our way back west towards you. Just wish we didn't have to worry about jobs and Ohio was about 2 hours closer. We watch you two hiking all the time....6.9 miles of trail should be nothing for Chuck 🤣. Appreciate the support. Safe travels!

Great video y'all. It looks like a nice state park. Some of the state parks that we travel to are very nice and updated. I like that this one has many walking trails. Good thing it was not the motorhome's awning.
@AmpedtoGlamp2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ray! We absolutely love Delaware's State Parks. They are well maintained with lots of activities for all ages. Yes, we were smart enough to put the awning in but completely forgot about the canopy. The awning would have been way more expensive to replace. What's your favorite state park?
@TNTRVing2 жыл бұрын
Hey guys, sorry we missed you in Tampa! We are rewatching this video because we are passing through Delaware in May. Tony will be shooting at the sporting clays regional tournament in New Jersey and we want to stop in Delaware (to mark the state on our travel calendar). This looks like a great place! Sorry about your awning! I'm watching your Trap Pond State Park video next. 😃

@@AmpedtoGlamp Thanks! We would love to meet up with you as well! We are trying to figure out our plans, once they are firmed up we will let you know. We are in northeast Ohio and we have alcohol to go. Usually on the night we are leaving I'll order dinner from Fiesta Jalapenos and frozen margaritas. When we get to our stop I just heat up the dinners and grab the margaritas from the freezer. Awesome way to end a travel dzy!

I think Texas or atleast some of Texas does drinks on the go. What a great campground to hang out with family. Ya'll need hunter orange. These guys need to fish more often than every 20 years. We've never been to Lums but it looks like some we've been to before. We appreciate this type of camping occassionally cause it really feels less populated, larger spots, and more outdoorsy. Looks like they have some good trails to hike; even if they aren't all open.
@AmpedtoGlamp2 жыл бұрын
I wish we had hunter orange that weekend. Lots of gun shots! I agree....the guys need to fish more so I can do a fish fry at the campground 😋. We'll definitely go back in the spring. Thanks for watching and safe travels!

No damage at all to the RV. The canopy landed about an inch away from the rig...whew! But we'll need to find a new canopy. Sherri got that one off season at Dick's for only $20 marked down from over $100. Don't think we'll find another deal like that.

Hey guys! Im surprised you didnt get snow during this time of the video. That explains the gun shots, Hunting season. Not a favorite park, but still was nice! Hi John & Sherry. Thank both of you for your service! My brother and sister-in law bought a 35K same as yours anniversary edition! They had about 8 months before my brother-in-law passed away and she sold it. She then bought a 26 ft. Class C Minnie Winnie and follows my wife and me when we go camping! What are you upgrading to?
@AmpedtoGlamp2 жыл бұрын
So sorry to hear about your brother in law. Some find it hard to continue hobbies after a loved one passes. Your sister sounds strong as she continues camping and living. And the Minnie Winnie is a nice rig. We'll be revealing the upgrade in a future video. Just found out our RV is on the production line so not much more of a wait. :)
