Hey brother what screws did you use to mount the plate to slide? I ordered the titanium screws from 11-71; however I don't have any screws to mount the plate🫤

I ordered my titanium screws from Taran Tactical Innovations. For the plates, I used the screws that was supplied. Nothing special.

Notice you have the standard trigger on the p and the short on the xc. How do you like the short and is there really any difference that you can feel?

Dawson plates do not change the rear sight for the P and XC- you have two different production runs. Eleven71 plate looks good but they should have DLCd. Don’t use your Torque Wrench to loosen screws- it will damage the mechanism.

My P and XC plates are both from Staccato (Dawson). If it’s different production, the rear sight got thicker ☠️. About the torque wrench, it makes sense. I will use other drivers. 👍🏼 thx

Fyi. You can remove bolts and screws with torque wrenches as long as the amount of torque doesnt exceed the wrench's spec. For example, fat wrenches are rated at 65 in lbs. Therefore if any screw or bolt is 50 inch lbs or less while removing it will be fine. Not every torque wrench is up to spec. Therefore I give it bout 10 inch lbs leeway. But at the same time.. OP is right, you dont need such a bulky thing to loosen 12 inch lbs. Haha. You dont have to torque to spec if your mocking it up either. Steel screws come with torx heads too. Not just titanium. Dont cerakote, powder coat etc the plate. You may inadvertently change the size spec. Best to use green or purple loctite. Something in liquid form if your worried bout corrosion. A very thin layer will suffice. What dept. Do you work for that allows cvlife weaponlights? 😂

I never said CVLIFE is authorized. My duty gun is XC with X300 and P is an extra gun sitting at home. I didn’t want to get into the torque wrench issue. I didn’t want to argue with my viewers. When you untighten, the torque wrench doesn’t engage the torque function at all. It’s exact same as using a regular wrench. The mechanism inside disengages when I untighten, engages when I tighten the bolts. Oh well. I guess I will use 2 wrench instead of one. (When I’m only tightening 20lbs) 🤣🤣🤣

So how does any water drain out if you have screws in tge drain holes

It doesn’t. It has a drain plugs. I too my flap out so it drains faster (if water gets in the there) 👍🏼

Hey that was me that recommended this plate! Glad you like the plate, I’ve been very happy with mine. The plate is made of titanium which I thought was very unique since most other plates are steel or aluminum. One note of caution, I think you said you’re using TTI titanium screws. I would make sure the screws aren’t too long and pushing down past the plate into the slide which would cause the plate to bend. To make sure I would take the plate off the slide and mount the optic to the plate and check to see if the screws go past the bottom of the plate. Great video, thanks for sharing your thoughts! I’ve put over 3k rounds through my XC with no issues with the plate or screws backing out.

Just order from Dawson Precision using Sight Calculator in their website. It’s all about the height, not the width. 👍🏼

There are two plates from Dawson. The one that the Xc has is the non windage adjustment and the one on the p is the windage adjustment one.

I hope to get to use Steinter MPS. I used MPS, RMR, ACRO 2, and I like the MPS compared to those.

I see. That’s very similar to ACRO & Trijicon RCR. I just don’t like the mailbox look on top of my guns. It looks so bulky. This is just my opinion. I also have RCR. 🤣

@@TacticalExpedition Yes, it is not much to look at. Overall aesthetics wise, RMR is better. However, the MPS window is large, and it has less of the blue tint. It is mostly because I am too lazy to clean the rear cavity area of the RMR design.

Odd that non of my staccato’s have a problem running SRO’s or RMR HD’s. SRO on my EDC which is a 2024 CS. SRO in my limited optics staccato XL. RMR HD on my Apache but on an Atlas plate. Literally never had a jammed case or any kind of whiteness marks of cases hitting the optic. My only “issue” is carbon build up under the optic. As I stated in the FB groups regarding this. It’s a non issue unless you have a poorly tuned ejector, poorly tuned extractor, bad ammo, or someone thinking it’s ok to run 7-9# recoil springs in short 2011s…

@@FKAROUNDANDFINDOUT. I just removed the SRO from my XC... I had 10+ jams in 50 rounds. 507C has worked perfectly... I put the SRO on my CZ Shadow 2, Plenty of real estate on the CZ and it works great.

I have a staccato P with a Dawson plate and SRO. I had nothing but problems like every 3-5 rounds fired. I also had marks in the bottom of the housing on the sro from shells hitting the optic. Removed optic and no issues. I’m thankful for seeing this video addressing the overhang of ejection port with sro and Rmr hd.

RMRs are antiquated except for quality buffs who beat their handguns up / duty use. Otherwise enclosed emitter is superior every time.

Home defense 로 Glock 45 (9mm) 가 제일 좋아요. 재미로 총 소실 거면 Staccato P or XC 를 추천합니다. 그리고 미국에 사시면 총 안에 공포탄 넣는 생각은 아주 안 좋은 생각이에요. 총은 진짜 필요할 때 총/칼 든 범인한테 쏘는 거니까 바로 범인이 총을 맞고 멈춰야 돼요. 👍🏼
