I am 100% picking this up. I love Metroidvanias, I love Devolver games, and I've been psyched for this one ever since I watched about the first 35 minutes of someone playing either the demo or an early access copy (not sure which), but it looks amazing to me.

Looks awesome. I plan on grabbing it day 1. My only gripe is that there's no physical release scheduled. Maybe a limited release company will save the day. Hopefully not Limited Run, because dealing with them is annoying.

I would imagine so! Devolver tend to work with super rare games on limited print physical releases and occasionally they go to mass too

I like the demo but seriously wish I could use the d pad to move instead of the joystick. Still great demo it starts slows but game match the hype.

Great review! After 4 hrs of demo, how many more would you say players can expect?

Couldn't say honestly, the demo is around 1 hour but I had full access so I don't want folks going in thinking that's how long the demo is. With the story, I feel like I'm at the midway point but I could be off

Well most Metroidvanias are around 10 hours long and this isn't even a Metroidvania. So it sounds like a longer game for a standard action platformer.

Yep I'd agree with that comment. I'd say 4 hours being my preview window that they gave is a pretty good statement on it justifying 15 bucks. I figure I could finish a lot in a 4 hour window in the genr3

A little burned out on rouglikes and metroidvanias lately. Glad this is just a more linear action platformer. Devolver has made some of my favorites including cult of the lamb. Gonna pick this up for sure.
