Honestly, if it's something that you have two of (like the part here), you can just recast the part pretty easily using polymorph plastic to make a mold and a little epoxy putty. It'll be stronger and it won't stand out (after painting) if it's a visible part. It only takes a couple hours and you'd likely be waiting over night for the cement to cure anyway

Like my HG Shia Qan[t] sword binder,runner C1/C2 no.1 which is so small yet the broken part more smaller than the part itself... so in the end 1 sword bit can't be stay open cause it fall soon after i though it woul stay... SO... NICE... -_-

Triplizer - There are plastic types to consider. The most common are PS and ABS. For PS you use Tamiya Extra Thin Cement and as for the latter you use Tamiya ABS Cement.

Alot people using the cement like regular glue. Only one video shows the person really using it like cement. And i like his clarification : " Cement works by melting the plastic, thats why its so popular " He took runners and cut it into smaller pieces and let them mix with the cement for abit until they melt and then only proceed to use it

Thanks, I'll give this a try. I broke the feetslider conection from the 1/60 avalanche Exia. If you ever buy this kit be sure to NOT follow the instructions on this part. It's wrong, the online instructions tell you to put it in backwards Wich will break it.

3d print do exist today back then its really pain in the back when you got broken piece now so easy to fix just find someone have 3d service and let them print yout broken piece and also you can choose what type of plastic you can choose better and much more quality

I recommend using Tamiya's Extra Thin Cement instead of Super Glue, this will make your parts more durable

The tamiya softens the plastic, and ifyiydo it right it will have a welding/fusing effect

what if i broke the peg from the char zaku ii origin ver beam rifle. the peg that attaches the rifle to the hand. i lost it and i cut a small piece from the runner then i superglued it to the place of the broken peg.

I had the same problem, but since i was lazy i just used the normal closed fists to hold the beam rifle, it works but its flimsy.

Kinda complicated. All I need for fixing plastics parts (not just Gundams) is just a plastic glue that you can buy at the grocery store and it only costs for about $6.00. It attaches plastic parts very easily because it has a pointy tip that lets the glue flow out when you squeeze it and you can barely pull the broken pieces after gluing them.

I just use those super glue like in those viral video how to fix thing with glue and instant noodle. It's cheap, dry really fast and stick super hard. 😂

Because Tamiya Cement isn't just glue, It melts the pieces so they become literally one piece

apply cement/glue on the broken piece and let it dry, then use the runner of the same color or the same runner of the crown then sand it down. after sanding it down apply cement on the glued parts again and sprinkle the sanded dust of the runner. let it rest for a while, after it all dried up. gently sand off the crown til it becomes flattened again.

New video idea!! Try to fix broken part using plastic soldering method using the left over runner. Just melt it with a lighter, and "glue" the broken part together. Sand it over to make it cleaner after it dried. Drying will take 1 minutes, tops. Never tried it before because I'm not insane. But i have create a DIY gundam stand using control melted runner.
