I think Glock thinks the modular 19/45/47/49 IS the gen 6 Glock. It would be fair to call those the Gen 5.5

The most obvious, undeniable, and uncorrectable shortcoming of all Glock paterned guns is the fact that they are striker fired. Any red blooded, knowledgable handgunner is fully aware of the superiority of hammer fired pistols.
