The alternative to stirring or shaking is to remove the dried food, put the hot water into the pouch and then slowly pour the dried food back in. It does require a second container, but a handkerchief or the napkin work fine.

"Let´s be smart.... " - that gave me a hearty laughter. I´m even more impressed now by this ration. Would be interested of a Pt.2 on the Spanish one - even if not´s an official MRE. That would make a nice travel ration.

I always shake the bags few times when I rehidrate the meals. But this kind of meals you cant shake you can just stir few times during the waiting, or add the amount of water in 2 separate times. This ration is really amazing. Asger

I'll bet that mashed potatoes and beef would benefit from a good shake, rather than stirring. That's a lot of tuna for one ration. Too bad they don't include anything the soldiers can mix with it to moisten/flavor it. Good review!

Yeah, I think shaking the bag is going to be a new step in my processes for freeze dried/ dehydrated chow. I'm sure the spicy sauce would have been nice with the plain tuna. The sauce was like Sambal I had in the Dutch ration. Cheers

I agree with you, Whoozerdaddy. The danish rations have a few odd components that could do with an extra pack of spices or a sleeve of sauce (other than that horrible spicey sauce) But it wasn't hard to bring some private bits and pieces to help spice up the rations :-) What the rations lacks the most is the nutella package it came with in 'ye old days, but some heartless wretch swapped it for peanut butter. As for the Spice Sauce, I personally threw it away unless I was dealing with a pasta dish. Great review as always!

Awesome part 2 !!! Meals and drinks looked good ! Yes, the dogs, can smell the slightest amount of food, or hear A plastic wrapper A half mile away !! The chocolate bar looked interesting. I thought the beef and potatoes, looked good. Too bad they lacked seasoning. Peace, John, Magnum.

I've always wanted to try a military ration meal it would mean a lot to me if I've ever got to have never had the chance to because they're very expensive and my local area I'm from Kentucky and I just don't have time to ever get on but to see someone eat them it really makes my day I hope to in the future though

Just streamlining them a bit. I've always been a fan of how Emmy can show everything and give a great taste test in such a short vid. Shorter vids also make a huge difference in upload times to YT. Sometimes anything over say 25 minutes can hours and hours to upload and process. Cheers Anita

i would have paired the spicy sauce with the plain tuna, knowing its already plain. mash taters are plenty decent with just salt n pepper. spiced chocolate also isnt a bad combo either, if you ever tried chocolate bars with chilies lol
