Gunforce II (Metal Slug predecessor) All Bosses (No Damage). "Gunforce II" (Geo Storm in Japan) is a run and gun video game developed and published by Irem in 1994 for arcades. It was Irem's last arcade game. This game was created by the same staff which would later form Nazca and is considered the spiritual predecessor to the Metal Slug series. Boss list:

Heck, what if this was in the same continuity, like some futuristic war in the past destroyed most of the world’s economy and that’s why it looks to have somewhat reverted to a word war 2 style of tech that’s only just starting to get better tech again. Would explain why most rebel soldiers are sort of under equipped

cujo was inspired by the r type series and then theres in the hunt which was a successor to it. gunforce came abit later on and was basically the last game before we have metal slug at the time the guy actually worked in the company that made r type and these game.
