Thank you very much! I am looking to move on to a GM bat from my Aero g3. Unfortunately we haven't yet got the new models here in New Zealand. What is the better Reccomendation for the Backfoot player? Like a lighter bat too

Hi Kyle, thanks for the comment. Take another look at the video but in terms of actual profile, backfoot players would be more suited to the Diamond, Icon or Sparq which all have the highest sweet spots. However, if you wanted a lighter pick up we would recommend the Icon which has a fully concaved back profile to maximise pick up.

I've played with a diamond and a noir, and if I was blindfolded I couldn't tell the difference in pick up. For soft village wickets I think the noir is better. But then I'm a village player desperately trying to get a 25 average so what would I know!

I’m looking at the Noir but in your review last year Rich said its not for him what has changed in the 22 version?

Not a lot has changed this year in terms of the bat profile. We like to keep our reviews as up to date and honest as possible. Last year Rich didn't get that 'feeling' when he picked up the bat that it would be for him but this year his opinion has changed (he may have also had a go in the nets which swayed his decision). We hope to bring some testing reviews out this year which will give great insight as it can change first opinions 👍. Overall the Noir is a great bat!

How different is the Prima to the Siren would you say?

Very similar bats we would say. Prima possibly has a little bit more of a concaved back profile.

How many grains would u recommend or which bat has maximum grains and does more grains mean better bat ?

We tend to say that more grains don't necessarily mean a better bat. Instead, your bat purchase should focus more on pick up, balance and weight. You can then start to look into grains and ping once you have evaluated which bat suits your style of play.

Is it possible to list the weight of each bat? I managed to buy a Zelos 2 limited edition 2.4 lbs last week. Are any of these bats similar? I am guessing, Icon, Sparq and Prima are the only candidates but don't know which will be closest to zelos 2.

Hi Smit, the weights of the bats within the same range can vary slightly so we wouldn't list the weights for this reason. In terms of what is closest to the Zelos 2, we would say the Chroma or Noir which also have low to mid swell positions (although the Chroma is a more fuller profile) 👍

@@SeriousCricketTV thank you so much for the reply, my issue is weight and pick up. I am like neil who needs a light pick up but also need some wood at bottom like Rich. Pick up is utmost priority. Reason why i got Zelos 2 was because bat is just 2.4 lbs (SH) and that is giving me outstanding pick up and balance. I can time ball, that's not an issue. I play a lot with my wrist (hence need lighter bat) and more bottom hand dominant (I snap a lot, just like how we use fly swatter 😅) The bow in zelos actually makes up for the power and not so ultra thick edges. Can i expect anything that will fulfill my requirements? Thank you, looking forward to your reply.

Hi Smit, getting an adult bat at 2lb 4oz is very rare so you've done well 👍. It sounds like you know exactly what you need to best suit your game which is a great start!! I would possibly take a closer look at the Noir as the pick-up should feel better in the hands due to the concaved bat profile and weight distribution. Alternatively, if you don't mind a slightly lower middle, consider having a look at the Prima which certainly has a lighter pick-up.

The Chroma and Diamond are phenomenal! I do prefer the stickers of the old Icon - "Nothing to hide" et al - but it still looks like a terrific bat!
