the best part of the freedom is how it breaks the "evolution line" alot of gundams suffer. specially in the au. it is diferent, it feels diferent. it also exudes that "high performance" aura like the WZC or the NU.

I like from what you did with the Freedom. But it was maybe cooler if you put some lights in the cannons of wings and the hip, than if would fold them out than you let it look like if they are really working.

honestly i wished that they had made a perfect grade of the freedom gundam. i was never a fan of the strike freedom for some reason cant put my finger on what i don't like about the strike freedoms design i pretty much love every thing about the regular freedom i think its super underrated.

Another home run with this project! Great job! One kinda pet-peeve I have is that one final shot with the wings fully spread. The front two wing parts should be the ones raised up (with the cannon hiding behind the larger winglet) and not the ones on the back. Still, fantastic job!

it still impresses me how sleek the freedom design is. and the ironic thing is, 00's designs were meant to be the sleekest of the franchise, but the freedom still manages to be thinner than most of them. maybe the biggest sacrifice they made with the strike freedom that i still think they shouldnt, was remove the balaena pair from the wings.

Good analysis for building this kit. Something to watch out when i'm going to rebuild&paint my already built Strike Freedom. I learned a lot from this video. Not sure if u do 3rd KO kits but Dragon Momoko/MJH MB Strike Freedom is worth it and way better than Bandai's regular MG Strike Freedom. The metal frame for the new MB SF helped a lot. As for the Perfect Grade Freedom, i prefered the MG Freedom 1.0. IMO Bandai should do an expansion kit(like the Perfect Strike) release with the original Freedom Wings for the PG Strike Freedom to replace the Dragoon Wings and then maybe release a full PG Freedom later.

Amazing build! Absolutely love it! I'm a beginner, and want to get into air brushing, would you recommend snapping the kit first, or people at your level just keep track of everything and assemble after paint? Also, I see that you're using the pre-shadow technique, have you tried doing panel lines after painting? Does that not work at all, or just not a look you're going for? Thanks!

I usually snap the kit first to see what it feels like, see what is actually visible that needs paint and any issues with the kit when built. But before I assemble I modify parts that would be hard to take apart by cutting part of pegs/filing down inserts/drilling holes in covered spots that help with poking out parts. I've also painted first and that works fine too but sometimes you end up needing to make modifications later and maybe even needing to repaint pieces if you damaged the paint. This works better for people who really understands gunpla kits and/or kit engineering and can see from the manual of certain parts will have issues without having to assemble anything.

May I ask if someone like me who just wants to straight build and do panel lining and water slide decals. Would you recommend to base coat using a ( Mr. hobby gloss coat) a kit before panel lining and applying decals and then top coat it with gloss coat again to seal it? - Thank you!

Careful with the hip joints. I was in the process of panel lining, and the peg for the hip that entered the leg twisted off. That may be just me, but it's a tip just in case.

This tutorial actually help me with the kit bash I did but I do have to ask one question which LEDs would you recommend for the legs? I ended up using the pico but the wire was so small and fragile that it broke somewhere and I'm going to have to replace them it looks like and somehow trying to get a stronger connection so from the Evans designs which led would you actually recommend better for the legs? Everything else is actually working just fine but the legs were the only hard part Also what would you use or recommend to strip down to the wire to be able to solder?? that was a difficult part on my end Thank you so much for your instruction videos they're so helpful!!

when you paint assembled parts such as the frame of an arm of somethin do u just do that one coat or do u do one and then bend it to get the covered area in the joint u didnt get the first time? also, when doing a top coat do u just one little spray down of the entire kit or do u take it apart a little and get into hard yo reach areas n such, and how do u usually paint articulated hands, seeing as theyre a bit more fragile and have ball joints n whatnot

great work as always. Can I ask what topcoat you use to seal in your paint job? I paint with acrylic and am using pledge and find that the topcoat isnt very durable and in areas where there is movement, the paint is prone to rubbing/scratching easily.

@@uoducks52 my paint is all acrylic but I've started using lacquer as a primer. In particular alclad airbrush primer. On the plus side lacquer dries really quickly, and your able to lay paint on top of it without fear of your primer coming apart. On the other hand, it's a pain to get out of my airbrush. Only thi g that really works is 91%. Fumes are also way worse than acrylic, and if you don't get it pre thinned I find it difficult to thin. I use lacquer primer and acrylic paint.

He definitely top coats, if I recall correctly he does a semi gloss top coat! Definitely gotta protect the paint job with a top coat. Really up to your preference though if you want a flat, semi gloss or gloss top coat though.
