i've scratched a lot of stickers with tweezers or fingernails. a toothpick is an obvious solution i didn't think of lol, thanks!

@@zer0bre waterslide decals are even more delicate; they maybe don't scratch as easily but they are quite friable. it's just a matter of practice. :)

@@SAOS451316 they're stickers... What practice do you need with stickers?! They came with Kinder Surprise toys. If you need practice with applying stickers, there's something wrong with you... And, they'll come off after awhile.

In place of the toothpick, I like to cut one end of a q-tip off at an angle (the ones with paper sticks) you get a nice point still, but since it's paper instead of wood it won't scratch up the sticker.

Take one drop of dish soap and mix it with 4oz water(this doesn’t have to be precise, you just barely want to see the color of the soap) then spray the area you want to sticker with it. The dish soap will keep the sticker from sticking until you’ve set it exactly where you want. Rub with a q-tip to set. This saved me thousands in damaged models over my lifetime.

​@@woodssylvain1629should not be an issue, soap is mostly to get rid of grease and dirt, dissolving the adhesive would take quite a bit of scrubbing.

Same, I have a shaky hand and it's a real struggle with all the stickers on the little SD guys. At least the HG has less stickers and more parts detail :)

What’s funny is I always thought to use a toothpick because I knew the wooden tip would be soft at the tip. I always thought however that I was doing it all wrong and needed a different tool, then I saw this vid. Thanks!

Instead of a wooden toothpick(which has splinters) i would recommend those plastic toothpicks with the floss on them.

Instead of tweezers, I usually use the end of my razor and my fingertip as tweeters so I don't have to constantly press down on tweezer grips since my hands are pretty shaky. Though precision tweezers work too

Honestly i've started to completely ignore stickers on model kits and just don't apply them on the kit anymore

@@owene2530 You don't apply them correctly. I don't have this problem. You have to use a flat edge and press down the stickers.

My tip, throw stickers into trash. Buy waterslide decals. I'll never understand why on earth they ever switched to stickers.
