Most farts are better musical arrangement than this. Most songs that anyone can make, are better than this… and that includes you buddy; you can write a better song than this, I promise. And this song will not live forever. It’s already dead to most people and will probably die whenever you do because you’re likely the last person to like it. Again, I would rather listen to your music, even if you don’t make music. Like I said, just fart, and you’ll have an arrangement that has more depth than this piece of hot dorsal garbage! 🐬💩 #Dolphindookie

turkeymanmcgee 82 , they’re great songs in the way that Meet the Monkees had good songs. Jumping off an aircraft carrier to swim with dolphins ain’t exactly ‘Street.’ Meet the Monkees had two chart topping singles and 4 in the Top 40. Or Get the Knack. Two Top 10. Four Hot 100. Both albums had good mainstream pop songs for their era. GnR only managed 2 albums and an ep. Another LP that blew chunks came years and years later. I can’t count an album of cover songs. AC/DC put out 19 albums, I think. Not a #1 single on any of them but they all went Gold at least. And none of the bands I mentioned jumped off nuclear vessels and swam with aquatic mammals or fired a founding member for not being able to quit the drugs THEY got him hooked on. Fuck Axl Grease.

Saw them live a few years back. I was in a really dark, depressed, place at the time and I had a hard time relating to the high energy, up-beat, vibe of the first half of the concert. Then, they played this song. It just reached out and touched me. Really resonated with where I was at the time. One of the most powerful concert moments I ever had. Ever since then, it's been my favorite GNR song, no contest.

This really was GnR at their creative summit. The video just brings it all together too. Poignant, scary, hope- it’s all here. Then years later they put it on some game show of what music video they should permanently delete from their library. It lost to Ice Ice Baby, Vanilla Ice had some kind of freakout (I thought was fake), scared Janeane Garofalo, and left. Seemed pretty dumb that they'd shit all over this video after the hype they gave it years before.

Estranged When you're talking to yourself And nobody's home, you can fool yourself You came in this world alone (alone) So nobody ever told you Baby, how it was gonna be So what'll happen to you, baby? Guess we'll have to wait and see Old at heart, but I'm only twenty eight And I'm much too young To let love break my heart Young at heart, but it's getting much too late To find ourselves so far apart I don't know how You're supposed to find me lately And what more could you ask from me? How could you say that I never needed you? When you took everything Said you took everything from me Young at heart and it gets so hard to wait When no one I know can seem to help me now Old at heart, but I mustn't hesitate If I'm to find my own way out Still talking to myself And nobody's home (alone) So nobody ever told us Baby, how it was gonna be So what'll happen to us, baby? Guess we'll have to wait and see When I find all of the reasons Maybe I'll find another way Find another day With all the changing seasons of my life Maybe I'll get it right next time And now that you've been broken down Got your head out of the clouds You're back down on the ground You don't talk so loud And you don't walk so proud Anymore, and what for? Well, I jumped into the river Too many times, to make it home I'm out here on my own Drifting all alone If it doesn't show Give it time to read between the lines 'Cause I see the storm is getting closer And the waves, they get so high Seems everything we've ever known's here Why must it drift away and die? I'll never find anyone to replace you Guess I'll have to make it through This time, oh, this time, without you I knew the storm was getting closer And all my friends said I was high But everything we've ever known is here I never wanted it to die

By far the best song of this band. Axl has never been more honest and personal in a lyric. The production and composition is on point and perfect. The tension arcs, the short breaks, piano and guitar, the riffs of Slash... everything is just perfect. Also how Axl plays with his voice, the notes up and down, it's a pleasure to listen to. and... especially great... the live scenes were shot at the concert in my hometown Munich, at the Olympiastadion

For me, of all the Guns N' Roses songs I listen to almost daily, Estranged is the one with the most powerful and unique melody. Along with the lines that Axl sings in such a striking way... This will always be their best song for me. When I was a child, my father would always play this song during our car rides, and since then I have never forgotten it. This song should have the same recognition as November Rain, especially because of this guitar sound...

I have always believed that Guns N' Roses is not made up of ordinary people. After all, people involved in art cannot be ordinary. Creating such a masterpiece requires a different mindset. As someone who has been listening to rock since the age of 13, let me tell you: For me, bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Deep Purple are the kings of this genre, but Guns N' Roses, despite being one step behind them, is like a deity. When I listen to "Estranged," I scare myself; I detach from this world, and a multitude of emotions, including rebellion, parade through my mind. I believe these guys are the interpreters of our innermost feelings, our loves, and the pains of unrequited love. I have tremendous respect for them, no matter what they do. Their ability to break the chains that the majority can in no way succeed to break, to refuse to live within the limits imposed by the world; that's the real reason for my admiration! Because they enable me to endure living in this filthy and disgusting world by experiencing emotions that sometimes make my heart swell, sometimes make me sob uncontrollably, and sometimes make me grit my teeth in rebellion. Axl Rose is a truly special person. His soul is different; he possesses a level of understanding and creative capacity that surpasses most people in the world. Perhaps the pains he experienced since childhood shaped him into who he is, who knows. In fact, every member of this band is special. Creating, conceptualizing, and orchestrating a song like this requires a strong emotional foundation. "Estranged" has at least three different sections. It varies according to the story it tells. The musicality seduces you. The extraordinary success and lyricality in the transitions between passages leave you completely stunned. Of course, the main factor is Axl. I don't know if anyone else could have performed this song as successfully as he did. Axl truly lived those emotions. Just as he painted a picture of melancholy in "November Rain" and made us feel the pain of separation as if we were stepping on broken glass in "This I Love," in "Estranged," he forcefully presents us with pure loneliness and the chill of death. With those twelve magical notes, he pins me and many others to the ground. With wide-open eyes, listening to this music, you can't help but think, "While they create such magnificent music, just look at what I'm doing," and you find yourself feeling disgusted by everything around you, as if you're a bug in front of them. You want to escape from everything, climb to the clouds, and just run, run, run while listening to music... Sometimes, without any particular destination, my wife and I used to drive around in our car. "November Rain" or "Estranged" would be playing at full volume on the car stereo. I would try to hide my tears, but then I would look and see that my wife's eyes were filled with tears... We would embrace each other. A year ago, she just died, left me, abandoned me. Now the songs brought to life by Axl Rose have taken on a different meaning in my eyes; it feels like my wife's soul is living in those songs. When I listen to "This I Love," it feels like she will jump out of the laptop screen and sit next to me, gently caressing my hair. But it doesn't happen... I'm roughly the same age as Axl, maybe he is a few years younger than me. I have been following him since my early youth. He is a sensitive and delicate soul, which is why I used to fear that something similar to Kurt Cobain's senseless and foolish suicide would happen to Axl. He has aged and gained weight a bit, but he is still an amazing person. I hope he lives long and continues to create. My admiration, respect, and love for him seem like they will never end. If I hear that he has died, I think something inside me will also die... I hope I die first...

Better laughing 😀 but only people hurted by life are able ti know and understand; pain makes you think. "You can fool yourself...you came in this world alone...alone". For Axl has always been hard to think to his childhood, better for him figuring he came in this world alone; that made him feeling empty deep inside. This song and Coma are masterpieces; at the same time, it's sad to know that he lived those moments, those feelings, but the reaction has been defenetely great!!!!!

I started smoking crack when I was 18 years old and I gave up on everything in life, but I discovered that I could rap. Never in a million years did I think I would ever be rapping. Long story short. I gave up drugs and got my shit together. I graduated college with honors and I moved to San Diego, California. And to think that this song and Axl's lyrics have brought me this far in life. Really? Total respect for how a song affects everyone individually, but this is a song without a happy ending. Mostly reflecting his lost sense of self, and that he could never make things work, so "maybe I'll get it right next time". In the second to last verse, though, he turns things on his partner, who appears aloof, pretending to be fine, and tells them he can see they've been hurt and brought back down to earth. Though too little, too late. And it ends with a sense of *near* hopelessness, still believing he'll get on with his life but "without you"...and signs off expressing regret he didn't act sooner...the storm had been growing closer and the waves getting so high...but Jesus, we built something worth fighting for. I didn't want things to just end! So for me, I've always considered this to be a song falling into the "drama/tragedy" category. Peace ✌

Tell me about it. In fact, I don't recall ever hearing it on the radio in my neck of the woods (Adelaide, Australia) when it was first released. Though funnily enough, the other 7 singles from the Use Your Illusion albums would be played with some regularity, especially in nightly countdowns.

One of the greatest songs of all time, when Axl hits the part “When I find out all the reasons Maybe I'll find another way Find another day With all the changing seasons of my life Maybe I'll get it right next time” this song transforms from a good song to a great song. Man Axl could sing back then.

E no último clipe registrado pela banda, Since I Don't Have You, Axl gravou as cenas a parte do restante da banda.

It's like Slash's guitar is telling a story that's being narrated by Axl. There's a reason that this song has 182 million views. This is a masterpiece.

I think its more of slash telling the story and Axl telling his too. they sound similar but to me slash's guitar is telling his own story

@@rosey1075 axl thanked slash in the liner notes for the guitar parts of this song, specifically. having said that, i think this songs actually about steven adler, not erin everly
