I’ve always been just a casual G&R fan but this song is one of my favorite of all time. The evolving emotion of the solos reminds me so much of “Comfortably Numb” in how the tone of those solos change from uplifting to dark. Awesome work as always.

How'd you do it slow down the video just slowly memorize it?

@@ChristianCMC Yeah I've been playing guitar around 37 years, but some of the tricky stuff that was hard to work out, I would just refer back to guitar tabs also known as Mr tabs to work it all out. I haven't slowed down the videos, just practice, trial and error and going over those hard spots over and over again.

Lots of hardwork has been put into for this wonderful play. Hats off to this. Too much play is envolved in playing just one song and you have shown it from the beginning to the end which is really awesome to see how professionals play. Keep doing what you doing. I guess it helps a lot of people who wants to know how things are played in the song. The only thing I can recommend if it is easy for you to do is to show the Lyrics as well. Best version of this I have heard outside the original! Great to hear all the little licks and the outro solo played so well, but without being buried in the mix, like in the recording. Slowing down your video means I'm finally getting it after years of banging my head against a wall! Thanks a lot for sharing. Would it be possible for you to put up some tips on how to get the sound (gear used, amp settings etc?) P.S. It's hilarious that Axl got a solo writing credit on this song, yet it contains three of Slash's greatest solos :) It would be a dirge without Slash's inspired playing.

​@@flyhigh6591 Not really, I used the neck pickup and then a lot of vibrato throughout. That's about as technical as I get: I just twiddle the knobs on my amp and use my ears :)

Your videos are the best. But for learning purposes they'd be just a little bit better if your shots started out at the zoom you are but when you start playing zoom in with a wider angle to show just right hand to nut, or past depending on where your hand will be in each song. You could make the playing screen taller too by reducing the tab section. The closer the eye is to the hands the better (for learning anyway). But for performance you're knocking it out of the park. I'm happy already, just saying. Nice job. Enjoying these.

I am slowly but surely learning the outdo solo. I am using the first two for sight reading. It's a great feeling when you suddenly play one of the outdo passages correctly. I'm still just playing random notes as fast as possible over the second riff though. XD
