Finally went down to my local distributor & put a few games on the new Guns N’ Roses Standard Edition pinball machine by Jersey Jack pinball company. The light show and audio fidelity is definitely next level. #GunsNRoses #pinball #jerseyjack

This one was the standard edition, it’s missing a bunch of cool features that the LE and collectors edition have. My LE is still on back order unfortunately. I had to check out the gameplay tho so I went to my local pinball distributor to get in a few games.

So how do you compare this experience to playing the DE GNR?

The old DE GNR shoots better but everything else is much superior on the JJP GNR.

I loved it at first, but after seeing this i dont like the playfield layout at all. Ide rather play TOM or MM even CV. Only JJP i think plays ok is WiWo. This looks terribly boring ! jmho

The layout on the Special Edition is definitely lacking compared to the LE. Be interesting to see how much different the gameplay is. I wasn’t impressed by the flow, especially with a soft feeling flipper. This game is all about the sights, sounds and programming. The actual act of playing pinball kind of gets overshadowed by the other elements.

@@Major_Drain is soft flipper a negative or a preference? Is this soft flipper a signature trait of JJP machines? If so, why do they do they chose to do this? Or is it a design choice per game? Just trying to understand the comment more deeply.

@@ChipBee123 it’s a preference and definitely a signature trait of JPP machines but for me it’s a negative. I’m used to Stern, Williams or Bally pinball machines and they all have a much stronger flipper strength and a slightly bouncier feeling overall. With JJP Machines it always feels like I’m trying to slam the ball to get it where I want it to go. JJP does it to slow the pace of the game. Their games tend to play less hectic than Stern pins and have a certain distinct flow to them.

@@Major_Drain thanks that helps. I'm sure I'll get used to it and And forget all about this conversation as I I'm sure I will enjoy the game immensely. I spent many hours on the data east old version in bars and arcades. My LE is on order and at this rate, As I've been told by JJP, I'll probably be waiting until about June for it. Quite excited but buckling down for the long wait.

@@ChipBee123 I’m in the same boat, I have a LE ordered but I was told to prepare for a several months wait. You will definitely get used to JJP feel after awhile. I’m expecting the LE to shoot better with the different features that this special edition was lacking. The lighting and audio fidelity on this game is next level! I have a bunch of music pins and this machine is going to be a great edition to the collection.
