You know, I hate to gripe here…because the guys are def up in age, they’ve not really played together in decades, etc. BUT my gripe is regarding something that has been happening for 30+ years…and is directed at Slash! Of course, Slash is still amazingly talented, the guy’s a legend and his playing is part of the score to my childhood and teenage years. I learned to play guitar at 13 because of Slash! And here I am at 45 complaining, lol. Anyway, this habit he has drives me mad because, as most people will probably agree, the songs I grew up listening to are implanted in my mind literally note for note. Especially as a musician, myself, I pay attention to everything going on within a song, every part played by every instrument, etc. And considering Slash’s playing on Appetite, both Illusions, even Lies, as well as my fave Lenny Kravitz album Mama Said, it’s safe to say that his fingers on his Les Paul was consistently in my ears for the better part of a decade! But in every live video I’ve seen of every GnR song where Slash is playing, specifically his guitar solos…he refuses to play them like they exist on the albums! And I just want to say to him…look, dude, your solos are logged note by note in the brains of millions of Gen Xers and we expect to hear them the way they’re played on the albums when we come to shows! Has anyone else ever noticed this?

Axl Rose needs to give up. I love his voice , but I can not anymore . These songs with the volume and complexity of the drive, he can't sing anymore. Axl has to stop singing some songs and they change the setlist. Or for another guy to sing these more difficult ones.
