Sadly Alkaline recently passed away. R.I P. Us Britcore heads are still keeping the sound alive. The breed has produced children that have taken up the cause.

No, it's not. Is different. Gunshot is more hardcore, sometimes uses guitar and is more intense. If you're referring to the ragga-like vocal, that's part of black English culture. UK music has been heavily influenced by Jamaican culture due to the encouragement of immigration after the 1960s. Drum And Bass itself was born due to these Jamaican Dub roots. Gunshot is so original that Fu-Schnickens (not belittling the American trio)
