I watched Kix perform on the Def leppard Monster of Rock cruise in the Caribbean during an insane storm at sea where the ships pool emptied out with the back and forth rocking of the ship all the while Kix was killing it on stage with the lead singer leaning forward into hurricane winds gripping the mike stand with his hair blowing behind him like in a convertible going 130 miles an hour. The guy had energy stronger then the storm and people where even falling off the 2nd level balcony as he rocked and the ship rocked violently. Highlight of the cruise was Kix killin it on the high seas.

When I was about 18, I went with a bunch of friends to see Kix play in College Park, MD. They were supposed to be filming concert footage for their next music video ("Hot Wire", if memory serves), so one of my more artistic friend had airbrushed up a huge banner that we were holding up, hoping to get into the video. At the end of the show, which was every bit as great as any of their live shows, we all waited around the back of the building in the hopes of getting them to sign the banner. They not only all signed it, they sat around just shooting the shit with us kids for a solid 15 minutes, in the rain, and handed out a bunch of guitar picks & even one of Jimmy's show-used drum sticks. Kix have always been one of the most hard-rocking, hard-working, and down-to-earth bands in the scene. They should have been much bigger than they were on a national level, but in the Baltimore area from the mid 80's through the early 90's they were absolutely huge.

I saw these guys when I was younger. They were our "local heroes."We loved them in Maryland. Saw them at Hammerjacks, The Cornerkick, and Exhale.

I lived in the panhandle of West Virginia during the late 70's, and took drum lessons from Rich Rippeon in Hagerstown, Md. Kix was a great rock band, and it was a shame to see them not go forth as the video age was ushered in via eMTeyV.

Always liked this band .. now when I watch their old videos I want to be back in the 80s again. I truly believe musicians should never give up playing and writing songs . I love music but I don't follow trends. A younger person with a trained ear can hear KIX . In fact many kids today love that Classic Rock. The 80s was when they kicked ass.

"...they never achieved the level of success of RATT and Cinderella" So unfair! They were awesome!

I've been attending Kix shows for about 35 years up to the last one. They kicked ass everytime or as I like to say they " Blew my fuse"🤪. Best live band ever🤘 Very loyal huge fan base that felt like one big happy family and if you knew Kix and loved them you didn't just follow them you worshipped them. Good times and great memories ❤

I remember Blow My Fuse hitting the shop. I was not familiar with them , I thought it was another hair band. The name KIX was a cereal, Blow my Fuse was a redundant album name at the time. 1988 was the absolute peak of thrash which was ruling the area I lived and hung with. Not until this video had I even realized that they had previous records. I checked out The debut and it is exactly the type of record I love having in my vinyl collection, rare , hard rocking, just a gem to have. KIX, seems to have suffered the similar problems Crack the Sky endured. Now there is a band with a f-d up debut record distribution. Thanks for this video, now on to Discogs.

I saw these guys at Seagull Inn more times than I can remember. While I was a Marine stationed on the west coast in the early 80's I turned alot people onto Kix and they all loved them. So I'm sure they could have made it. It goes to show you how many good bands don't break thru. Good times!!!
