@@choppaboymon9685 Agreed. Back in MA, I was swimming in the Atlantic all the time when I first started my locks. The salt water locks you up quick and it treats any tender spots you might have on your scalp. I live in Denver now where there is no ocean and decided to lock my hair again. It's taken me 2 years for my hair to mature and break out of the awkward phase.

So i bought a locking gel and the before and after is night and day! I used the crochet doing some touch ups as i was use thr locking gel and it worked pretty well. The first time I tried dreads was in 05, comb coil method with twist gel. FAIL! My hair unravels easily and curls right back up if I don't manipulate it. Parts of my hair doesn't even curl its just wavy and kind of straight. I gave up and went back to cornrows then eventually shaved all my hair off. 2 years later I discoverd the crochet hook method. It worked & I've had locs hella times since then. 😂 Always get bored around year 2. Currently working on a new set I think this time I'm going to stick with locs since I keep coming back to them.
