I am 15, and I just bought one at the RFA Flute Fair and It sounds so amazing, looks amazing, and the price was 735$ base the full price was 793, those piccolos are amazing 😍

This would be a great practice flute for practice or playing outdoors. The bright colors would be fun for a solo performer but may look funny in an ensemble if others are playing metal flutes.

Adult amateur. I have a new voice piccolo in gray with black keys, purchased used. Plays great, wish it looked more like a serious instrument. Also have one of the grenaditte headjoints. I like it a lot but it doesn't project as much as the headjoints on my Altus or Miyazawa flutes. It's a budget friendly alternative to a wood HJ for chamber music. Also makes the flute instantly lighter weight. My friend has a new voice bass and loves it, very light and easy to play, great price too. Tell Mr Guo to please offer alto G flutes in the new voice line!!

I would definitely love to try their flutes and piccolos! I have tried the New Voice bass flute, and it wasn't too bad. But I almost never have need of a bass, so didn't buy any. If I had at least a snowball's chance in a very warm place of needing a bass, I would definitely consider one of these, as the weight would be a huge consideration for me.

New subscriber here. I’ve been watching through your assorted and enjoyable flute videos; most especially the low flute demos. Very interesting to hear these. Have you considered a video showcasing the rarer G treble flute? and maybe doing a side by side comparison against a C piccolo re timbre, range etc etc. There aren’t many videos of the High G flute, and none that I can find really showing the comparison. I have a new voice c-flute and a new voice tenor (marching colours). I didn’t buy the (new voice) piccolo because of the tuning. The sound of the piccolo was amazing, but it was tuned very low (couldn’t get it to 442), and the octaves were too small. Hopefully there will be a version 2 of the piccolo where this is fixed, than I’d defenitaly buy it!

My thoughts are about repair/refurbishing of the instrument . Such as cork seals, bumpers and loose fits. Metal can have dents worked out of if these composite instruments get cracked are they repairable? Just wondering.

I tried one at a local music shop two years ago and discovered that they are extremely well built. Any user who can mishandle/abuse these instruments badly enough to damage them deserves any inconvenience resulting from the repair costs. Also, in case you haven't noticed, flutes and most other orchestral instruments are designed based on the capitalistic principles of modulated quality, anticipated failure, and planned obsolescence. In other words, modern flutes are INTENTIONALLY designed with components that degrade over time so that all parties who manufacture, install, and adjust those components can create a need for their products and services, i.e. a livelihood. Ultimately, I didn't purchase it because of its aesthetics; however, if they would design one that LOOKS like something that someone who genuinely loves and respects the flute would own, then I would gladly buy one. Unfortunately, it looks like something that an overgrown Barbie Doll would play.

Still unsure what the advantages are🤔 I checked the price for Australia and have to say they are not affordable, as in definitely not budget. These are expensive. A traditional metal flute of good, standard quality like a Yamaha is cheaper. Thus, why should I buy a Guo? 😕

Sounds amazing. I'd love it if they also did an Alto, they do a Piccolo, a bass and a C flute, but no Alto :-(. I play both in a flute choir, so that's a shame as I would have bought both.
