I don't really think that's gonna happen because they've already laid the groundwork for March to go around acquiring new paths like this as she makes new memories on your adventures. If anything they'll keep adding new kits like this to the same character that you can swap between. Adding a separate 5* March on top of that would just be weird.

even if March isn't the best for Firefly Firefly will probably be the best for getting March points. when you take the speed buff from Firefly's burst into account I'm pretty sure Firefly is the fastest character in the game by quite a margin (only real competition is E2 Seele, but then Firefly's E2 basically copies Seele's entire gimmick so that's about fair). throw on Jade for the extra speed from Debt Collector (and Firefly even has built-in healing to counteract the damage) and maybe someone like Asta for the extra speed buff from her burst and the result might not be optimal by any stretch but it'll certainly be fast, and that means plenty of points for both March and Jade.

Yeah I've been using Firefly and March in a team with no Ruan Mei for months and clearing all endgame MoC and AS last stages easily so far. There's enough cycle leeway for it to be very reasonable. I understand Ruan Mei is a massive upgrade but I hope Guoba updates his stance on this in-case he makes a future video since hearing that line pre-March release was disappointing before we got to use her in action.

+40% speed does sound nice, and since the targeted ally will be taking turns even more often both March and Jade would benefit from putting both effects onto a single character. only question is what character to put it on. Jade would benefit from having a character that hits multiple targets, whilst it seems like speed is the primary thing we're aiming for with this combo. looking up the base stats of all the characters it seems like the best choices (that being the top 5 characters capable of regularly hitting multiple targets, since it seems like a lot of the fastest characters are single-target or supports) are Aventurine (only multi-target on his follow-up attack), Asta (it's a bounce so the number of targets can be inconsistent, but she can contribute an extra speed buff to the party from her burst), Harmony Trailblazer (another bounce attack), Serval, and Firefly (who has extra speed buffs for herself in her kit). fastest character capable of hitting all 5 enemies goes to Argenti. if speed alone if your aim though then Seele still has the highest base speed in the game (though Firefly's self-buff when in burst does go higher, even when taking Seele's self-buff from her skill into account) so on the whole if you've just gotta go fast then put March, Jade, Asta and Firefly on a team. it probably won't be optimal by any stretch but Firefly will be getting an insane number of turns and that will be giving March and Jade points.

Seele has been indirectly buffed with Hunt 7th. With the former sometimes getting two turn and the latter SP positive (since all you need to do is designate a Shifu). Add Bronya and Fu Xuan and you have yourself a team that makes Silverwolf irrelevant.

I barely built my March and she's already beating my Boothill for Apoc and MoC... Initially I pulled him for the highest on demand toughness damage, then March hits with the 150 Minimum damage, with RNG going for potentially 240.. What hits me hardest is that March isn't even optimized, She's wasting turn left and right as she's slower than Gallagher, and she still comfortably 3 cycled MoC.. I even took Seele's sig away from her because she literally didn't care and still did it with minimum hassle. I even have plans on building Yanqing's 4 star LC because everyone is broken immediately and forever, the speed will probably come in handy at the very least to offset Gallagher

March works as a decent sub DPS for FF provided you want to go sustainless, or if you don't have her optimal team. Also, there's always future units. From rumours I've heard, Feixiao will work pretty well with Hunt March

Does her A4 mean her toughness damage is only for the shifu's type? Like if the enemy is weak to imaginary but not the shifu's type, she's worse at breaking than if she had no shifu? Or does it take both into account so she's good against both imaginary and shifu's type? I want to play Dr Ratio so bad i adore his character but i dont wanna use Topaz, Adventurine, or Gallagher. I have E1 S2 Robin, E2 S1 Silver Wolf, E1 S1 Bronya, E2 S1 Sparkle, I'll have Hunt March built and will probably put Seeles LC on her, I also plan on pulling for Ratio's LC as well. I got E6 ting and pela too. (I also plan on pulling for E1 S1 Lingsha). I just dont know how to handle ratio's need for many debuffs while also wanting buffers at the same time. I'm fine with it as both their kits are different enough to not completely overlap with each other. March's biggest advantage is her pseudo-utility and team flexibility. I feel that she's one of those characters that will age like fine wine, and there's nothing stopping Hoyo from making her a BiS option for future characters down the line! (fingers-crossed its Feixiao, the timing of her getting her last eidolons in 2.5 is just a little sus hehe)

You really don't need a dedicated Nihility with Ratio + March teams if you use Gallagher. You already meet the 3 debuff requirement between Ratio's slow from technique at the start of battle, his skills EFF RES down, and Gallagher's Besotted + Atk Down on top of any Imprisonment you get from Breaking enemies. Not to mention Ruan Mei's debuff.

Thanks for the guide! I tried the March carry meme comp and it's really fun and strong! One thing though, I tries it with both Gallagher and Luocha and I really think Luocha is much better as a sustain in this comp: Robin and Bronya always want to use their skills, Robin to gain more energy and Bronya to buff the dps as much as possible, but with Gallagher I feel like they have to use their basic attacks to heal sometimes which is a bit of a waste imo (or Gallagher will have to use his skill which will generate less charges for March since he doesn't attack). Luocha's field heals the whole team when any character does damage so he can always use his basic and Robin and Bronya can always use their skills (idk maybe its a skill issue tho)

Interesting that the limited 5* of the patch is a copy paste of an already existing unit with a powerspike whereas the free 4* is totally unique and nearly creates a whole new playstyle / team template. I'm excited to see what people cook up with this new March! I'm planning to grab Lingsha when she comes out, and have March pair up with either her or Gallagher, but then the question becomes, who's she going to have on her team if Firefly keeps Ruan Mei and HMC? Guess it'll be better to build her for crit in the short term and see if we get more break supports in the long term.

Awesome video! Didn't know March was that good or versatile! For a break build, would pairing her with E2 Firefly make sense? She does so many actions and if March really gets her talent points from every single shifu attack AND launches a follow-up of her own, it seems insane.

This could be good, but unfortunately you’d have to drop the sustain because firefly looses so much of her damage without harmony mc or Ruan Mei

oh that would be pretty interesting, i'm anti ruan mei so i was thinking she would good on fireflys team anyway, but i figured i'd still have her use skill on gallagher for the extra toughness damage. I'm not sure if the extra FUA frequency from e2 firefly would be better than doubled toughness damage on a super break team.

I already have Firefly for the super break team, and I am only missing Topaz for the RRAT team, so I will probably switch in March there. Instead of RRAT, I am going to be RRAM-ing forward through the enemies! Imaginary weak enemies beware!

I tried the Gallagher-march combo with Sushang instead of Gallagher, it was AMAZING. Pretty good alternative for physical-weak enemies 😉

I'm SUPER excited for Swordmaster March! Not only will I finally get to use one of my favorite characters again (sadly I haven't really had any use for her since 1.2 ;---;), but I'll also finally have someone who can wear all of my *insane* crit pieces from break sets. Like seriously, the amount of 30+ CV pieces from the Thief/Watchmaker/Iron Cavalry sets I got while trying to farm for Clara/Acheron/Ratio/Firefly (while not getting anything decent for the character I was actually farming for, obviously) is not even funny. It's almost like the game is trying to taunt me lmao. BUT NOT ANYMORE! I've already got 5/6 pieces for March (2pc/2pc Watchmaker/Cavalry plus a Glamoth Break rope), which, alongside Sleep Like The Dead, already give her a 58/170 crit ratio, 140% BE *and* 135 SPD. Now all I need is a decent ATK/Imaginary DMG sphere (ideally with > 6% CR and 5 SPD, so she can reach 100% CR/160 SPD with SLTHD's/Ruan Mei's buffs) and I will have the hybrid DPS March of all time.

Damn, on one hand I'd love to use March again, on the other I'm not sure where to fit her into my teams - superbreak I'm set with Firefly E0S1, so no point in changing that. For CRIT, I don't have Topaz, so I guess I should go Dr Ratio route, but I don't have him build that well... Will have to play around and see if there's any team I enjoy having her in

In the end, all that matters is that her Shifu is a character that gets a lot of attacks on either side so that seems like a lot of freedom to pick what seems fun.

Tbh, wasn’t expecting March to become the 2nd QQ, and become this broken, and versatile, but I guess it does make sense being that current meta is break/atk, so I have no complaints here. (Already have a atk and break set for her since I’ve been grinding break for my Firefly for the past month, and already got some god relics that can’t work, so I’m basically set.) Since March is setting a modern precedent of a versatile break character, I wonder what Feixiao will have in store.

So I was looking for future Hunt March comp and a good team that comes up is Gallagher, HM7, Robin, and Bronya. Unfortunately I did not pull Robin and Bronya can be used for only 1 team. So my budget comp will be Gallagher, HM7, HMC, and Asta. If that even works. I have 2 questions for you Guoba, please help me out! Question 1: Can Asta replace Robin on this team? Asta is equipped with S5 Dance Dance Dance of course. Is it the same efficiency or how much % worse? I have seen KZbin comments saying Robin is the core of this comp and is unchangable. Question 2: The other team will be a traditional Boothill break comp. If I put Bronya in Boothill's team, will Asta's SPD boost on HM7's team suffice alone? You know, to Advance Forward the team?
