I just really don’t know. For Jingliu, he feels more like a bandaid solution than a true upgrade. Nothing in his kit synergies with Jingliu any more than any other crit DPS, it honestly feels worse because of how much crit rate and crit damage Jingliu has at a baseline, the diminishing returns are real. I think I’m going to wait to see how Fugue shapes up before making a choice. Even then, I might just skip this patch because my jades are kinda tight right now.

I'm gonna be real, you said you don't want to cause fomo but Hoyo is already doing that by making Sunday absurdly broken despite no real reason to. Not only I didn't like the character beforehand because well, he only feel like a marketing character which is very dubious (when I say marketing I mean only marketing.) but they're trying to completely ruin the powercreep with him. I'm aware powercreep will always happen but this is ridiculous. Throwing another Robin bullshit is honestly starting to get annoying and I'm guessing they chose Sunday to begin 2.7 solely because 2.6 is just an empty patch. It feels like a necessary character to get if you don't want to brick your account, with how Hoyo keep turning enemies into bullet sponges. At that point, Fugue feels more like an afterthought character that Hoyo gave us because they were fed up hearing the players asking about Tingyun. Between a broken buffer, Madam Herta that stole the show just by being a silhouette and Aglaea who's introducing a new path, Fugue is just there like "Here, have your Tingyun now shut up.". I just can't like Sunday. At all.

Even if he got 36 different indirect buffs, u could remove all of em and Sunday alone is enough. for the bronya variant you talked abt, funny thing is theres a strat for bronya to advance sunday then advance the dps with sunday instead. This allows sunday to get more energy for ult which is more energy for the dps. ALSO, the huge part. This technically is more SP positive than Bronya skilling the DPS if sunday has his LC. Each bronya advance on sunday basically generates 0.5 SP, so she only spends 0.5 sp per skill instead. yes, you lose out on 66% dmg buff, but bronya can still buff the dps via her ult (and she can run DDD for even more AA) and you still get more energy and more sp. imo, i think the trade off is worth it, especially on a summon dpses in the future where sunday can advance the summons too (And bcs bronya buffs run out for summons regardless bcs of the 1-turn duration). You can test this out on JY atm, with robin, he can get like 10 LL in 1 cycle lmao (some are low stacks tho)

Tbh Sparkle hasn't even worked that hard outside of year 1 DPS, and that lasted maybe a patch. Almost immediately after she came out, Acheron said "no Harmonies here until E2" so most people didn't bother usingSparkle for Acheron hypercarry. Then Robin came and shoved her out basically by being a better option for pretty much all Year 1 DPS except DHIL and Seele. Boothill was too fast to use her 50% AV. Yunli teams prefer Robin. Now that hypercarry is potentially back to getting new units, she's second to Sunday. Sparkle's been shoved out every single step of 2.X. They never let her have a chance at all.

I think it's fair to say that due to topaz skill using Numby double dips in buffs "Numby deals Fire DMG equal to 150% of Topaz's ATK to this target. Using this Skill to deal DMG is considered as launching a follow-up attack." So while Sunday may not ramp up Numby turns a ton, her Skill is buffed as a summon itself ! You should test it out!

Powercrept is a bit of a stretch, he’s not better than sparkle in some cases(esp without summons). The problem is that there is not a lot of characters for sparkle to really shine now (dual dps with jade and DH, and she’s still great with Acheron or clara/yunli), but there sure will be many good characters for Sunday soon enough. I hope they’ll bring more hypercarries with high sp consume or no energy mechanics (preferably for them to be quantum and hp scaling 💀)

I’ve waited since Penacony was teased and he was worth it. Our first male harmony (for Stelle players at least). I have used Jing Yuan as my lightning damage dealer from the day he was released. Getting a huge boost for him is just amazing cherry bomb on top of the Sundae . (Something to enjoy after dinner)

genuinely thinking of dropping the game after fate collab... shit is disgusting and boring and straight up powercreep. Sunday had 0 need to be good in teams outside summon, but he is, and they will never buff sparkle. Stupid game, i have seen other gacha but a limited character being powercrept out of every team in 9 months is a joke.

My source for this a comment on a different video who I forgot the name of but they mentioned that Sunday E1 has a weird interaction with Topaz skill as it uses numby to attack, meaning it's summon damage, therefore also getting the 40% def ignore

I assume you say this because of Sparkle? Sadly its just that Sparkle’s kit was cooked from the start, 2 almost dead traces, and 50% AA instead of 100% AA is REALLY bad but some don’t realize, 100% AA is what allows the -1 spd setups, which is the main reason Bronya is so strong with units like Boothill. On the other hand you can look in a way that Sunday raised a basically dead unit in JY to relevance again, he can now unironically compete with Acheron, a 1.0 dps competing with a 2.X dps is honestly great news, means less powercreep, although is this gonna be a future trend? Probably not sadly.

Its that sunday can't split himself in 2 so any normal hypercarry + summon units team wanting player will see value from both.(you would always use sunday on the summon team.) You can't look at a game like this with only one team lens at all... (This is not even mentioning that you don't even need the best units always either...)

There's showcases that use Topaz hypercarry with the main "gimmick" being almost instant double Numbies (Numby -> Sunday -> Topaz -> Numby). Pretty good ST damage with Topaz' ult up and coincidentally, Sunday helps with keeping said ult up.

Saying he is "at least SP neutral" is a little misleading. You need his sig, S3 bronya, or rely on hit rng to have a 3 turn rotation for SP neutral rotations. So for people who can't afford the LCs, he is looking at 4 turn ults, meaning he is actually SP negative. Granted, -1/4 is still better than E1S1 Bronya.

Not that I was f2p before, but I think starting with this update f2p is officially dead. So many amazing characters back to back to back, that feel like half a character without their E1 or S1 or best friend, or some combination of the three. God forbid they need an E2 as well. Constantly chasing the meta is only if you want to steamroll everything. Which is fine if people find it fun, of course, but hardly necessary.

As main JY since day 1 I get the pride to tell that putting Sparkle is a slot wasted to compensate build issues, I did out both JY and sunday at 135 SPD but JY atk first "You could use ATK boots if Sparkle it" Im actually cooking ATK Body %!! As I got huge amount of crit DMG and a lot of crit rate with Sunday and Xuan (E1 at this point sorry). I did test both CDMG body and ATK% body, atk won by 10k on lightning lord with 7 stacks And that was simulating sparkle buff as sunday's cdmg buff... considering Xuan + Sparkle's quantum ATK buff, I wont get diminish return at all. Having it said, like I told before, I'm JY main since day 1; so you might not get whats necessary to make it happen (Xuan E1 makes a huge wombo combo with CDMG harmonies); in that case, yes, go wild sparkle 😂😅🎉🦁

As an avid Jingliu main, I would love to see a dedicated team video. E0S1 seems so interesting for her. Is Sunday/E1 Bronya her max potential now? Sunday/Robin? Can Sunday + E6 Tingyun achieve permanent Spectral State with a QPQ support and/or HuoHuo shenanigans? Even if so, is that better than just taking a million buffed actions with one of the above pairings? My mind is in a continuous state of cooking rn and I'm not the chef that should be in the kitchen the way a disciple of Xiangling like Guoba would be. @curryfishheadenjoyer remember jing gains 30% crit rate with his trace+sunday buff, so you may want to shot for more crit dmg. Mine is 135 speed, 50 CR and 235CD with 2.8k attack

If you're running 134 spd Sunday the crit damage buff from sacerdos will actually run out before you attempt to stack it. So its a 18 crit dmg buff instead of 36
