Guqin and Pipa from the Robert Van Gulik's Collection - Video produced by Bonhams in London

A rare antique zither (estimated to be over 400 years old) with refined sound and inscriptions and seals at the back. This guqin is named "Wuming" 無名“ and was one of the favorite zithers of Van Guliks. This pipa is unusual, small and light but projects surprisingly bright and resonant tone quality and with exquisite decoration of landscape and poetic words at the back. There are so few Ming/Qing period (14 to 19th century) pipa around in the world. It's a valuable item for pipa history and development.
