Thank you for sharing this sakhi. One thing that my family kept wondering after watching the sakhi- what use is power if we cant use it? How did bhai jetha ji and piranha did a non gurmat use of power?
@SikhNet Жыл бұрын
The Bhai Sahibs found a kind of loop hole to use power, they got permission from Baba Buddha who Guru had instructed them to obey. The original history source this story is from doesn't use the word gurmat. Instead it talks about being inside of Guru's aagiaa. The story demonstrates that nothing is black and white so the use of power could be allowed, but certainly not if it comes from the ego. Do more directly address your question spiritual power is generally seen as a distraction or a test. If a person has spiritual power they are likely to think of themself as superior to others, lose humility and not be liberated. There is a saying 'tapo raj, rajo narak'. From austerity comes kingship, from kingshop comes hell. It is said that a lifetime of devotion will earn wealth in the next life. Most souls who live their earned wealth don't remain as devoted as they were in the previous life. Those rare souls who have wealth and remain devoted, their next life they can be a spiritual teacher for others.
