We reached Guraskunj Homestay Barsey on 24.05.2024. After reaching the homestay we had our lunch. One thing I need to say is there is no electricity in the Homestay. If you plan to stay over there then you need to carry a Power bank and solar light. This Homestay is situated in the core area of this sanctuary. In the night there was a different feeling we experienced because there was no electricity, everywhere there was dark only in the homestay candle were there. We heard the sound of different types of insects, birds and animals. This is the greatest experience I have ever felt. After having our dinner we went to sleep to witness a morning view from this homestay. Next day morning we trekked to see the watchtower which is situated near to the homestay. From there a nice view of Mount Kanchenjunga. After a few moments staying over there we thought we needed to go back to our homestay because we needed to take breakfast. All the food was so good. Only One thousand rupees paid per person for three meals. If you want to stay then you need to pay only one thousand for Breakfast lunch and dinner. Local Guras wine is also available over there. So accordingly make your plan.
