Thank you , I think reason was my finite knowledge in Urdu and Turkish , both languages have the same linguistic root ( Persian roots ) , I would appreciate If you would check the subtitles that I made for my videos and connect with you on Instagram 🙏😀😊

I have here for the English translation, since I don't understand Turkish. But although I couldn't understand the words, I could totally relate to the emotions which are conveyed by the singer and the music. Truly a masterpiece. May God have mercy with the people in Gurbet.

It is about homesickness my dear brother. People who left their homeland out of war, poverty, escaping or just trying to find a better life . Where are you from if i may ask?

As a native Turkish speaker I'm amazed. This song have many traditional phrases and even I would face trouble while translating it. And your translation is flawless. I was like "oh damn yes it's what singer intended to say no lost in translation no weird thing its a masterpiece" while watching whole video. And I think about what would I translate differently and I think I would use beloved for "yar" but its just a choice. Congratulations for your excellent work.

I am from Saudi Arabia and i am very far away from home, when i first heard the word (Gurbet) while watching a Kemal Sunal Film , it is the same in Arabic and it means homesickness for home ❤, the moment i heard the word it truly stabbed my heart because i feel the same way as Ozedmir is singing 💔. Tessekürler Abi ❤.

Thanks for the translation, what is your recommendation for learning Turkish. I am really interested. I like the idea of translating them to Arabic as I am a Turkish folk music lover.
@mehmetYilmaz-d2e7 күн бұрын
Easiest way to learn a language is being around people that speak the language. You will be amazed how fast you start picking up the language. I don't know if that's possible so my second recommendation is listening songs and watching movies with subtitles.but you have to concentrate 100%. Okay gelsin. Iyi sanslar

@ Thank you. You are right. I learned English by working in an international company but unfortunately I can't do that to learn Turkish. Movies and series is the only option I have. When I was in Turkey and spoke some Turkish with the locals they were very happy to hear that.

so what this song mean for turkish?

I don't understand your question , please explain more
@ytb3213 Жыл бұрын
The answer be late a bit but ill describe it yo you if you see my comment pls let me know. This song "Gurbet" was written by özdemir erdoğan and it desceibes the gurbet. Gurbet means when a person goes from Turkey to another country (generally germany) after ww2 for jobs because euro was equal to 2 Turkish liras these times and average payment was 500 liras then in Turkey (now average payment is 13k and 1 euro is equal to 35 Turkish liras). So this song described a persons longing to his country, his family, his friends, his city etc.

And this songs Turkish version is: Kime desem derdimi ben, bulutlar?

@@ytb3213thanks for the explanation bro, I am Greek and I love this song and understanding what he sings feels very relatable. We have a song by Stelios Kazantzidis called To Psomi Tis Xenitias which sings about similar themes of how western countries have taken our youth from us. It is a sad situation for many countries around the world, in the process of seeking wealth and stability we lose our culture and tradition.

هل يقصد بال ırak هو بلد العراق ؟
