That's a great idea using hackle for bulk, like the old style salmon dry flies which still work, and much easier and cleaner to work with then deer hair. I like that.

Great video! Just curious what flyline you were using. Was it a clear floater?

David Chase: It's an intermediate sink striper line. Doesn't coil up in the cold like other lines do.
