Lu Patterson, Tammy Wynette had a so-so career until she teamed up with George Jones on duets, without the help of George Jones her career would have continued down the same path. George Jones carried that duet without a doubt. Connie Smith on the other hand had an excellent career and was considered the number one female country artist for years. as far as her voice goes there's nothing wrong with her voice, it's just as strong as always, actually Tammy Wynette has a unique voice but it's nowhere near the quality of Connie Smith's.
