@SpecialGurlFan Yes, I see what you mean. And yes that exaggeration puts a tear in the plot. However, I do understand how this is catering to a more general audience.

I don't know if even the hardest butch would react to a transgender or drag queen llike that. If even there is resentment I doubt if they would go to such extremes. Also the queens I've known would be able to defend themselves against a person smaller and less stronger. So I find this scene not too credibile. However, I will go along with the idea that Judy doesn't want to get violent or physical.

@click212 Hi well it is a movie after all. But I think the scene, though maybe exagerated, was just to show how your biological gender does not define how you act. Judy comes across as a true lady with all the positive trates of a genetic woman and the agressor a true man but with all the negative trates that come with it. Violent and intollerant.
