Great Guru Dutt films, watched through all lockdown, amazing, if today he would have all the year Oscars to Indian flims. When young I too liked fighting movies, but watching Guru Dutt flims it's really interesting. The difference between Guru and Dilip can be observed that one is of perspective that all are hero's in the flim where as other person only things he alone is hero.

Devdas was nowhere infront of pyasa...And Guru Dutt nailed it as Vijay...Pyasa would have been the best film for Dilip Kumar career....It is unimaginable how Guru Dutt sahab thought of pyasa in that era...It proves that he was the best Bollywood ever got in terms of artistic brilliance... Nonone could understand his calibre thats why he went so early...If you see Dilip sahab career ,he has lots of trash films also although no doubt Dilip sahab is Dilip sahab ,a great artist...But Guru Dutt greatest of all ....

Guru Dutt was the Master of Song Picturization.I remember reading an article in Times of India long back in which one French critic had mentioned Guru Dutt as the greatest film maker of India.I also believe the same.Satyajit Ray and Subhash Shah who came to India all the way from America inspired by Guru Dutt to make a Bollywood movie.But Ray's Shatranj k Kheladi and Shah's Shalimar turned out to be an average I've seen Kagaz k Phool several times,Waheeda is gherowed by the crowd and Guru Dutt sits down at some distance -picturisation of this scene is very very superb.I'd would have loved to end the movie here.So far as his acting is concerned,it was always superb.People forget to mention his acting in film 'Suhagan' where he makes a suicide schene so natural that no Indian actor can do it.

Guru' Dutt's sister had confessed and revealed many secrets about him to Raj Khosla.long time ago. She never blamed her sister in law Geeta Dutt as she point blankly admitted that Geeta was a sufferer and felt cheated by her husband. She didn't even say anything due to humiliation and had a bruised ego. One can understand the implications of these artists because they surely are not normal. Guru Dutt was in love with melancholy. He was a true pessimist and loved it truly..which may be was his fate..which drove him to this kind of end.
