“How long can you stare at your wife on sunday?” By that comment, that man has proved what he thinks of his wife. Just an object like TV. The core mentality of the society is rotten so what can we even expect from them.
@bhattcsКүн бұрын
Chairman and MD of L&T, Mr. Subrahmanyan, After a year or two of marriage, most people don’t stare at their spouse the same way. However, the hardworking employees at your company don’t have the luxury of 7 to 8 servants to handle the chores piling up at home, such as washing clothes, cleaning cars, taking their kids to the movies, helping with homework, organizing cupboards, or even getting a haircut. It’s important to let your young employees enjoy their family life. Consider giving them the option to work on Sundays or take a well-deserved holiday. Family time and leisure are just as crucial as work and financial stability. When was the last time you received a call from a loved one saying, “We’re waiting for you at home, and dinner is ready”? I’m fortunate to receive such a call every day, and I truly consider myself lucky.

I have worked in L&T for 18 months and i have seen this first hand. Women are given office work while men are given every kind of work including site work, office work and travelling work as well. Women are given the option to leave by 6 pm, however men are not supposed to leave before 8 pm. So, this 90 hour week bullshit only applies to men in this company. And the sad part is they are not even willing to pay for working longer hours. Women working 8.5 hours, 6 days a week are paid equally to men working 12 hours, 6 days a week, sometimes working on 5-6 hours on sundays as well. Now I am going to join AAI, there working hours are fixed and you get paid extra for overtime and night shift. I am happy that I came out of that hell hole feww years ago.

This one major factor putting pressure on Indian Families which people don’t acknowledge. Even if the wife is not working, if the husband is at work almost 24/7, and trying to rest a few hours at home, what time and attention can he give to his family? This is bound to have repercussions. Children will remember their Dad as an absentee landlord. It is unfair.

The current salary structure in most offices is fundamentally flawed. Employees are paid low salaries on a monthly basis, forcing them to work continuously without fair compensation. This system often leads to overwork and burnout. Instead, paying employees on an hourly basis or for specific tasks would definitely be a much fairer and more effective approach. It would not only ensure employees are fairly compensated for their time and effort but also boost productivity by aligning pay with the actual work done. The monthly salary system traps people in a cycle of relentless work, which could be avoided with a task-based or hourly pay structure.
