Thank you for sharing this brave discussion. It's very helpful to have a dialog begin on the intimacy and spirituality in the pervasively taboo subject of sex and eroticism. I'd like to add an editorial comment to correct the reference to Chan et al. (2012). I think it's an important distinction given the argument you're making. The microchimerism found in the female brain was from male fetuses (babies and unborn babies) and not from s3men. I suppose from the the deeper concept of interdependence we could make an argument that a fetus is an obvious result of male release, but in a literal sense as it relates to the actual microbiology science in that research article, the transfer of DNA was from fetal origin and not sperm.

Thank you for providing such precious podcast. I loved hearing the explanation about Jana mudra. It made so much sense and provided confirmation/validation and understanding of an important process which I had kept buried in the ramifications of my DNA. What a fortunate synchronicity to have found your podcast amongst my KZbin selection this morning. Gratitude flows towards you both: G.V keep up the good work with uploading precious content on your channel; Dr Nida la, huge thank You for sharing Your knowledge, wisdom and compassion with us all. Specially when it is difficult for some of us to travel to attend Your teachings. Infinite gratitude. 🙏 ⚘🙏🏻⚘🙏🏻⚘

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the 2012 male microchimerism study cited here is a bit misrepresented, as that study is referring to chimerism or DNA exchange that happens during pregnancy and not just any old sexual encounter. So using that study to say that there is DNA exchange anytime people have sex may be a bit misleading...Not to say that there isn't some subtle energy exchange or karmic imprint that might not be scientifically proven, despite it being a very real spiritual reality.

Where I can know more about 3 kinds of tigle? Interested for mantra practice, as I'm looking for any kind of help to move practice forward since my visual chan is almost blocked. It doesn't bother me much, but mb tigle teaching could help me to dive deeper in work with anger in every day life.

Quick question: ( thank you for your patience I maybe misunderstanding something). In your interview with Ian A. Baker episode 23, he mentions he began to have romantic feelings toward his consort, and the feedback he received was that it was somesort of a deviation. From this interview with Dr. Nida C., Dr. Nida equates the positivity of having your romantic partner as your consort , which makes sense to me. What’s your understanding as to why Ian A. Baker wasn’t encouraged to bring his romantic feelings into his consort context as part of the path for greater intimacy and liberation into non-separation?

@cedarmcdaniels15384 жыл бұрын
Lovely interview but I don’t agree about the sexual abuse being false particularly for children.....it is about 1 out 3 girls and 1 and 4 for boys.....that’s a lot of people and it a big social problem....lucky for you folks who haven’t faced this.....but for adults it gets a bit more muddy...... I am mostly concern about the kids... adults have to figure it out

Long time Dharma student. If one has taken a samaya vow of celebracy should respect those vows by giving the vow back. Before breaking it. I am Kagyu. Problems since the 70s. From the bottom to the top. The thirsty example is good one,but not going to be a great defense in court. Everyone defibes Love in their own way. Thus, it's not reliable and of course can be confusing and fleeting. Monastic monks teaching Tantra is dualistic and tempting. The daughters of Mara. With everyone having a phone, you Google Tantra, bam, porn. it's tempting not yo eant to take a peak, for everyone including celebrate monks. thanks for the teaching. Karma zangpo

@myrddins.cauldron.59833 жыл бұрын
There are tons of books and texts on these subjects not translated from the Tibetan or Sanskrit. 99% of our teachings have not been translated. Consider how much was destroyed by the Chinese too, a lot. It’s a huge canon of work.

1:49:36 : I'm not convinced at all by Dr Nida's views on s3men retention. Testimonies from long-time male Karezza practitioners do not seem to support this. I have not read Dr. Nida's book, but having listened to several interviews with Kamamudra practitioners, I seem to understand that they are trying to reach 0rgasm or, at least, to get as close as possible to it. In other words, the practice of Kamamudra would involve a great arousal. In this case, Dr. Nida's reservations regarding s3men retention are probably justified. On the contrary, in the practice of Karezza 0rgasm is not sought after. Consequently, the man, not engaging in the practice of edging, does not abuse his testes or his prostate, and long-time practitioners do not seem to know this type of problem although they never 3jaculat3 ( or only accidentally).

Sexual abuse is always one side: the side of the person with the power. There is no excuse for a person who takes vows - be it a school teacher or a monk - to break those vows. If you do, get out of the teaching or monk business.

But isn't it natural to release semen by doing nothing because of nocturnal emission during the practice of semen retention? Or are these guys using special methods to prevent it?
@urgenlama73022 жыл бұрын
I have heard that Karma Mudra is practice only by those who have reached "One taste " stage because if a ordinary person like me will practice these things there is huge chance that i might get attached with sexual pleasure .

It appears to be an unnecessary excuse for abuse, as many papers and online articles suggest. The idea od rescinding a vow before engaging in karmamudra, is ridiculous. Beware.

“Master” of Tibetan Medicine?? And “Lineage holder” of Yurok Nyingtik? “ typical westerner way of misinterpreting personal titles and misrepresenting qualifications. Thankfully Mr. Chenaktsang himself corrected it. Some times westerners call typical teachers(དགེ་རྒན་) / a master / (དགེ་རྒན་ཆེན་མོ) or scholars (མཁས་དབང་)too. May be it is their way to bring their relation / connection or association to the next level? But it is a strange way if misaddressing someone’s title. A practitioner who is bold enough to teach does not make a master, nor receiving initiation of some teaching necessarily make one a lineage holder. Anyway, it is an interesting piece, but not to the level of true Tantrayana.
