Gus is kind of a modern-day Bowie or Peter Gabriel. Like them he’s creating his own world within pop music. His whole catalog is ahead of its time, but this song in particular pulls way out in front. I wasn't sure if i liked this song at first. I liked the second part bc it's upbeat and i liked the rythm and melody but the first part was too slow. I kept it on my playlist and the slow part started growing on me. The change is pretty cool. Then i checked out the lyrics and that made the song so much more awesome. There's a sense of being sucked into darkness and overwhelmed by it. Giving in and giving up the fight over it. Sunset. Pretty epic to be honest.
